Abstract
The device (10) has a grabbing unit (11) for grabbing of a set of images of a snowpack with different depths. A control unit or a cable (15), is utilized for remote controlling of data characteristic of the images. The grabbing unit is fixed at a substrate that is covered by the snowpack. A set of remote transmission resources is utilized for providing visual data, where the resources include telegraphic connections or wireless links. A set of light sources is arranged interdependent of the substrate. An independent claim is also included for a method for monitoring a snowpack.
