Abstract

L'invention concerne un système de freinage d'une roue d'un véhicule comprenant un disque fixé sur un moyeu de la roue, une première (14) et une deuxième (15) plaquette de frein disposées de part et d'autre du disque, une chape destinée à être fixée avec une carrosserie du véhicule, et un étrier (10) mobile par rapport à la chape (11), ledit étrier (10) comportant un moyen d'actionnement (12) portant la première plaquette de frein (14), et un support (13) fixé avec l'étrier (10) portant la deuxième plaquette de frein (15). Le système de freinage est caractérisé en ce qu'il comporte un dispositif de mesure de l'épaisseur de la deuxième plaquette (15) située du coté du disque (20) opposée au moyen d'actionnement (12), le dispositif de mesure, et un indicateur indiquant l'état d'usure des plaquettes de freins (14, 15) à partir d'une mesure fournie par le dispositif de mesure.
