Abstract

The method involves determining a voltage model (130) for calculating voltage at terminals of a battery i.e. lithium-ion battery, in accordance with a level of a charge state. A voltage pattern is determined at the terminals of the battery based on intensity of current passing through the battery. Internal resistance of the battery is determined. A state of charge level of the battery is measured (125). The voltage pattern of the battery is utilized (126) to determine voltage level of the battery.
