Description

The present invention consists of an armature for modeling subjects in the round hump resting on thin limbs: human, humanoid or animal, in erected position or even in unstable equilibrium. Traditionally, users of modeling clay are limited to modeling small subjects sitting or lying because of difficulties in implementation. Indeed, during the modeling and eventual hardening process of the room (cooking or drying for example), the modeling clay tends to sag and crack. But the user can aspire to the realization of complex subjects standing on legs or legs thin.

The reinforcement according to the invention makes it possible to remedy this problem. Its main feature is to associate in one piece the skeleton of the subject to a base. The skeleton is intended to be covered with modeling clay. By its shape, it ensures a homogeneous distribution. Made in a material resistant to manipulation during modeling, the frame has a rough surface and withstands continuous heat if it is intended to be covered with dough requiring cooking. Thus, when the user models his subject on the frame, the dough adheres perfectly and distributes equally, optimizing the curing process in the case of use of air drying dough or requiring cooking.

The base is made of the same material as the skeleton and is a part of it. Its function is to strengthen and stabilize the frame and also to ensure better grip during modeling and charging (in the case of modeling clay requiring cooking). The accompanying drawings illustrate an example of reinforcement according to the invention.

Referring to these drawings, the reinforcement combines a skeleton (1) and a base (2). . In this frame example, the skeleton is integral with the base at three of its legs (3, 4 and 5). The reinforcement is made of plastic material in a single injection molding operation. To allow the use of a thermosetting modeling paste, the frame can be molded in a plastic material resistant to the heat of cooking. Polyamide 6/6 loaded with 30% fiber and resistant to a continuous heat of 130 ° C is a possible material. The size of the frame varies depending on the chosen subject. As non-limiting information, the armature shown (Fig 1 and 2) measures: 154mm long, 61mm high and 42mm wide. The armature according to the invention is particularly intended for modeling complex subjects.
