Abstract
Description
The present invention generally relates to an electric motor vehicle heat pump exchanger. In operation, such an exchanger, mounted on the front of the vehicle, evaporates a refrigerant by absorbing heat from the outside environment. In case of low outdoor air temperature, the external surface temperature of the exchanger is between -5 and -20 ° C and if the ambient humidity is important, there is a risk of icing detrimental to the effectiveness of the system, which results in a loss of autonomy of the electric vehicle. It is known in the prior art of the evaporators, such as for example that described in document EP 1 108 575. The evaporator essentially comprises tubes for a heat transfer fluid which exchanges heat with the external medium. In order to increase the efficiency of the exchange, fins welded between the tubes form air passages and increase the exchange surface. This system has the particular disadvantage of not ensuring a good evacuation of water drops that condense on the fins. One can even observe a phenomenon of coalescence between the droplets which grow and can touch two fins forming an air passage, the latter being consequently obstructed by the drop of water which adheres to the two walls of the air passage. This results in a decrease in heat exchange, especially if the drop of water then freezes, completely blocking the passage of air. Document US 2007/114011 proposes a hydrophilic surface treatment to promote the evacuation of water on an air conditioning condenser. This surface treatment is expensive and its effectiveness remains to be demonstrated in the case of a heat pump evaporator located on the front of the vehicle. If it rolls in heavy rain, the drops of water can still contact two fins of an air passage and the forces of
La coalescence est donc évitée. capillarity, precisely maximized with the hydrophilic treatment, will be sufficient to prevent the evacuation of water. An object of the present invention is to meet the disadvantages of the documents of the prior art mentioned above and in particular, first of all, to propose a heat pump evaporator capable of retarding the formation of frost by ensuring good evacuation of water that may be on its outer surface. For this purpose, a first aspect of the invention relates to a heat pump evaporator for a vehicle, comprising a heat exchange surface, characterized in that the exchange surface has a geometry capable of preventing coalescence of droplets of water. formed on the exchange surface. Such an evaporator according to the invention will therefore, by its geometry, be able to prevent the coalescence of drops of water present on its exchange surface. As a result, drops of water will be more easily evacuated because they will not gather and have less adhesion because the number of contact points will be limited. In other words, the drops of water present on an evaporator according to the invention will not be able to reach the size sufficient to touch simultaneously several opposite walls, which causes increased adhesion forces. The implementation of the invention is reliable, because it is the geometry of the evaporator which defines by construction this protection against coalescence. Advantageously, the heat exchange surface forms at least one air passage with an inlet and an outlet, and defines an air passage section, and the section of said at least one air passage increases between inlet and outlet of said at least one air passage. The invention proposes to move the walls of the air passage so that a drop of water that rolls on this wall and grows by collecting water along its path can not touch other drops of water. water located on another wall of the air passage. Coalescence is avoided.
Advantageously, the section increase of said at least one air passage is continuous between the inlet and the outlet of the air passage. Coalescence is avoided throughout the passage of air, the invention is particularly effective in this implementation.
Advantageously, the air passage has a surface section Si at the inlet of the air passage and a surface section So at the outlet of the air passage, and the surfaces Si and So satisfy the ratio So / Si> 1.8. The applicant has observed that in this way, the drops of water can not meet along the air passage.
Advantageously, a part of the exchange surface is formed by fins, and the increase of the section of said at least one air passage is defined by a variation in shape of the fins. The invention is implemented without adding a component to the evaporator, it is a clever modification of the fins and their geometry which makes it possible to obtain the reduction of the coalescence of the drops of water. Advantageously, the shape of the fins defines a fin section, and the fin section decreases between the inlet and the outlet of the air passage. The invention proposes to modify the section of the fins to obtain by construction the technical effect. The modification is done at the component level, there is no modification to make to the rest of the evaporator. Advantageously, the fins are arranged so that a flow of air passing through the exchanger is able to cause drops of water formed on the exchange surface. This implementation, combined with the reduction of coalescence, further improves the protection against frost formation by facilitating the evacuation of the drops formed on the surface of the evaporator. Advantageously, the fins are arranged parallel to a flow of air caused by a rolling of the vehicle and / or by a motorcycle fan assembly of the vehicle. This particular structure is well adapted to the evacuation of the drops out of the exchanger by a flow of air.
Advantageously, the fins are made from at least one sheet connecting heat-conducting fluid conducting tubes and the section of said at least one sheet is trapezoidal. This implementation makes it possible to reduce the modifications necessary to obtain the technical effect to a single component. Alternatively, the fins are made from at least one sheet connecting heat-conducting fluid-conducting tubes and the sheet is extruded with a trapezoidal section. This implementation makes it possible to reduce the modifications necessary to obtain the technical effect to a single component. If the raw material fins allows, extrusion is extremely advantageous for making long lengths of sheet. Advantageously, the evaporator is arranged on the front of the vehicle. The heat exchange is then improved with this implementation. Advantageously, the exchange surface is superhydrophobic. This implementation, combined with the reduction of the coalescence, particularly improves the protection against the formation of the frost because the condensed water will necessarily be in the form of droplets because of the superhydrophobic property of the exchange surface, and these droplets do not can not stick together with the prevention of coalescence according to the invention. A second aspect of the invention is a motor vehicle comprising at least one heat pump evaporator according to the first aspect of the invention. Other features and advantages of the present invention will appear more clearly on reading the following detailed description of an embodiment of the invention given by way of non-limiting example and illustrated by the appended drawings, in which: - Figure 1 shows a portion of the front face of an evaporator; FIG. 2 represents a sectional view of the evaporator of FIG.
Figure 1 shows a portion of the face of a heat pump evaporator according to the invention. The evaporator comprises a network of tubes 20 containing the coolant which evaporates inside these tubes 20, by taking heat from the outside environment. To improve the efficiency of the heat exchange, the tubes 20 are interconnected by fins 10 which are manufactured from thin sheets, welded between the tubes 20. These fins increase the surface capable of exchanging heat with the ambient air and the efficiency of the evaporator is improved. Figure 2 is a sectional view along the axis 2-2 of Figure 1. The fins 10 are formed from an accordion folded sheet between two tubes 20 and welded thereto. The shape of the sheet is trapezoidal, so that the section Si of the air passage at the inlet of the air flow in the evaporator is less than its outlet section So, as shown in FIG. In this way, the droplets 110 which form on the fins will not be able to meet and no coalescence phenomenon is observed between the droplets 110 of two adjacent fins which can lead to the obstruction of the air passage between these two fins. The flow of air 100 passing through the evaporator through the air passages between the fins can therefore easily cause outwardly the droplets 110, which allows to delay the appearance of frost in cold weather and to improve in the efficiency of the heat pump. It will be understood that various modifications and / or improvements obvious to those skilled in the art can be made to the various embodiments of the invention described in the present description without departing from the scope of the invention defined by the appended claims. In particular, reference is made to a trapezoidal section of the fins obtained by rolling or extrusion, but it is also possible to envisage obtaining this geometry by a corner bending of the sheet then used to make the fins.
