Abstract

The method involves transmitting a signal during a transmission time interval by an optoelectronic transceiver (10.1) over an optical fiber (20) at a predetermined wavelength of about 1550 nm. Another signal is received over the optical fiber at the predetermined wavelength by the optoelectronic transceiver, during a reception time interval that is distinct from the transmission time interval. The latter signal is emitted by another optoelectronic transceiver (10.2). Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) an optoelectronic transceiver (2) a communication system.
