Abstract

The rod (1) has two opposite ends (2), where each end has a main through opening (8) for allowing assembly of the rod on an upper/lower structure of an aircraft structural part i.e. wing box. Each end has a secondary through opening (14) whose dimension is smaller than that of the main opening. The secondary opening allows fixation of a bonding braid with the structure and the rod via respective ends of the braid, where the rod is made of composite material e.g. mixture of epoxy resin-impregnated carbon and/or glass fibers. A metal paint coating (22) is arranged around the secondary opening.
