Abstract

The invention relates to a microcircuit card connector (1) comprising a contact-supporting frame (10) including a sliding surface (37) for the microcircuit card, said sliding surface comprising: a plurality of contacts (5) aligned parallel to the direction in which the microcircuit card is inserted into a read-write device, so as to project at least partially in relation to the sliding surface; and a switch for detecting the end-of-travel and the presence of the microcircuit card in the operating position, assembled inside a housing (230) in the contact-supporting frame (10) of the connector (1). The invention is characterised in that the switch comprises a trigger means that slides along a direction substantially perpendicular to the sliding surface (37) of the contact-supporting frame (10), one end of said means projecting together with the sliding surface (37) from the side of the microcircuit card.
