Abstract

The method involves measuring a distance (E') representing pupillary deviation (E) of a person in a terminal (16) e.g. computer or portable telephone, where the distance is expressed in the form of a number of pixels. The number of pixels is transmitted to a remote server from the terminal via a communication network i.e. Internet. A real value of the pupillary deviation is calculated from the number of pixels. A distance between a digital camera (11) of the terminal, a focal distance and the person is measured by a direct measurement unit e.g. laser or infra-red pointer. An independent claim is also included for a device for measuring pupillary deviation of a person, comprising a remote server.
