Abstract
Description
-1 - POT OR BAC FOR PLANTS OR FLOWERS HAVING A WATER RESERVE OF GREAT AUTONOMY DESCRIPTION FIELD OF THE INVENTION The present invention relates to a pot or tray for plants or flowers, with water reserve, for to the continuous supply of the soil of culture, in particular of the soil, which it contains, of the kind essentially comprising an upper compartment designed to contain the culture soil, a lower compartment designed to contain the reserve of water, a means designed to allow the controlled transfer of water from the reserve to land and a pipeline designed to supply water to said reserve. DESCRIPTION OF THE BACKGROUND TECHNOLOGY Known pots or bins of the kind in question generally have low capacity water reserves, namely: less than 1 liter of water for 4 to 5 liters of soil. The corresponding autonomy does not generally exceed 7 days. Said water reserves essentially consist of: either by double side and / or bottom walls; - or by tanks located under the compartment containing the earth.
In the first case, the known means for the controlled transfer of water from the reserve to the earth, are essentially types using porous walls permeable. In the second case, the known means for the controlled transfer of water from the reserve to the earth, are essentially types using capillary locks. In this second case, the one more particularly concerned with the invention, there is a limitation in the capacity of the tanks because of the very principle of the capillary wicks which do not make it possible to take water beyond a height which is the order of 10 cm. As the water level goes down as it spreads in the ground, it is therefore limited in container depth and capacity. Of course, we could compensate by expanding the tanks, but it would lead to sets unsuitable for the application in question and unsightly. SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION The invention aims to produce a pot or tray of the kind in question with new and original features whose purpose is to reduce or eliminate the aforementioned drawbacks. According to the main advantageous characteristic of the invention, the water reserve is made by means of an elastic bag which on the one hand expands under the effect of the weight of the filling water and which on the other hand exerts on the water it contains, a pressure adapted to maintain its level above a stable height throughout the period of automatic feeding of the earth. In particular, said upper level may be maintained at a height of between 1 and 10 cm, in particular 5 cm, below the lower level of the earth so as to be able to use, as a means of controlled transfer of the water from the reserve to the the earth, a capillary wick which is in contact, in the lower part, with the water of said reserve and, in the upper part, of said earth so as to diffuse in it, continuously, the water it withdraws from the reserve.
The water reserve according to the invention, by maintaining a stable upper level at a height less than 10 cm from the low level of the earth, allows the use of: - capillary wicks and whatever the depth of the said reservation; - High capacity reserves whose shapes and dimensions do not interfere with the operation of the capillary transfer of water, or the aesthetics of the pot or tray. In addition, the pocket may, by expanding, occupy the entire volume of the lower compartment. Since the water level is stable with respect to the capillary wick, the capillary water is transferred continuously and at a controlled rate, depending solely on the state of the earth's moisture and not on the dimensional characteristics of the pots. or bins.
This feature also increases the autonomy of the whole. It can easily, for indoor pots or pans, multiply by five or more, the capacity of the water reserve and the autonomy of the whole. They can also be used outside for flowers, for example on balconies or terraces and in cemeteries.
We can even consider growing above ground all plants with large bins, provided with several wicks capillaries, with autonomies and significant savings in water. According to another advantageous characteristic of the invention, the pot or tray, instead of being one-piece, is made of two stackable, stackable or nestable parts, corresponding for the first to the upper compartment and the second to the lower compartment, both stackable parts comprising connecting means ensuring their stable junction or locking. This design allows for example the use of the same water supply for upper parts of different shapes, sizes and finishes. It also allows the use of the same upper part for water reserves of different shapes, sizes and finishes. It finally allows the combination of both. This is made possible for a range of pots or bins having compatible connecting means.
