Abstract
According to a first aspect, the invention relates to a method of determining the directions of aim of the sensors of a detection strip (CCD) of a picture taking system carried on board an observation satellite, implementing a correlation of a reference image of a scene with a secondary image of the scene obtained by the detector strip, characterized in that the reference image (R) and the secondary image (S) consist of orthogonal snap shots of the scene captured by the detector strip.
