Abstract

The method involves analyzing a part of a perimeter (10) for determining a region (12) of the perimeter based on diameter of a machining tool without trimming a predetermined perimeter using the machining tool, where the machining tool is rotated around a sliding axis. A part of the region of the perimeter is machined using the machining tool. A remaining part of the perimeter is machined using another machining tool, where diameter of the latter machining tool is lower than diameter of the former machining tool. An independent claim is also included for a device for machining an ophthalmic lens for installation of the lens in a border of a frame of half-rimmed spectacles.
