Abstract

The implant has a pillar (6) equipped with a permanent resilience characteristics. The pillar is provided with a pivot (5) and fixed in an implant body (1). An element i.e. sheath (3), is placed between a basal surface (4) of the implant body and the pivot of the pillar, where a material texture of sheath is similar to a texture of a dental ligament. The implant body is substituted for a bone (2).

Description

The present invention relates to the creation of a device enabling a dental implant abutment to be endowed with permanent resilience. For a conventional dental implant abutment, the technical problem is that no resilience is possible because of the monolithic rigidity that the assembly engenders, once the elements of which it is composed are connected and then fixed by a central screw, forming a block that replaces the bone, unlike a pillar of a tooth that has its root endowed with a natural flexible element encompassing it and connecting it to the bone with the help of cupping microphones. This element called ligament has the function of giving mobility to the tooth and unlike an implant, it is independent of the bone.

For this reason it is strongly discouraged to connect them, in the case of a prosthetic rehabilitation with fixed monolithic reinforcement, because not having the same reactions during the mastication because of the micros shocks and pressures that engenders it in its movements, their connections may cause irreversible trauma. The device according to the invention overcomes this disadvantage, it comprises in effect according to a first characteristic, a pivot and a sheath which are placed in the intrado of the body of the implant. Once assembled (except the body of the implant which becomes a bone substitute and therefore considered as its counterpart) the elements look like a false root with the same functions as that of a natural tooth and this, thanks to this sheath which serves as an artificial ligament. Thus a monolithic prosthetic armature can be made and fixed with these two pillars of different natures because their mechanical roles are similar. According to the particular embodiments: the texture of the sheath will be analogous to a dental ligament. - The sheath can be interchangeable. - The sheath can be screwed, glued or sealed in the intrado of the implant. The sheath can receive a conical, cylindrical or cylindro-conical, smooth or threaded implant abutment pivot. - The pivot can be screwed, glued, sealed or inserted by friction in the intrado of the sheath and can be immobilized with a ball joint located in the middle, it can be locked also in its rotation by giving it a hexagonal shape.

The accompanying drawings illustrate the invention. Figure 1 shows in section, the concept of the invention. The component parts are represented before their connections for a better vision of the whole. With reference to the drawing of FIG. 1, the device comprises the body of the implant (1) substituting bone (2). The sheath (3) comes to fit or screw in its intrado (4). The pivot (5) of the abutment (6) of the implant (1) is placed last in the sheath (3). Once connected, the assembly represents the drawing of the page 1/2 figure 2. The device according to the invention is particularly intended for the manufacture of dental implant with resilient abutment for prosthetic rehabilitation in the field of dental surgery.
