Abstract
The sensor (1) has a polarization optical receiver (5) supplied with electrical energy using a contactless transducer (14) by an electric power generator (11) located outside of a rotary shaft (2). A light source (4), the receiver and optical units (7) are housed in an individual tubular enclosure (10), which is housed in the shaft, where a signal received by the receiver is transmitted through the transducer to a processing unit (13) located outside the shaft. The processing unit has a calculation unit to obtain the torque based on a polarization value measured by the receiver.
