Abstract
Description
The invention is a composition consisting of at least 3 original bioactive natural extracts (of vegetable, animal or mineral origin), - in oral application on the gums and mucous membranes, in humans or animals, by the medium an ultrasonic instrumentation irrigation solution, a rinse solution (mouthwash), a gel, a toothpaste or a lozenge to be sucked or chewed; - or in application on the coating tissues (skin, mucous membranes), in humans or animals, by means of a cream, a gel, an applicator stick (stick) or a solution rinsing.
Natural extracts, of vegetable, animal or mineral origin, are frequently used in preparations for oral or dermal application. Mouthwashes, gels and toothpastes, used to remove plaque and food residues, can be based on natural extracts, to clean while respecting the balance of the oral ecosystem. Similarly, many natural extracts having beneficial effects on these tissues, they are sometimes used in creams, gel or cosmetic or dermatological solution, to clean the skin and mucous membranes. Finally, lozenges to chew or chew with natural extracts (especially propolis) are used to refresh the breath and improve oral health. In the prior art, numerous preparations based on natural extracts for oral or mucocutaneous applications are thus described. The beneficial effects of all these preparations are recognized, but remain low because of the limited properties of these natural extracts used alone. The specificity of this invention is that it uses in synergy original natural compounds, whose association for oral and mucocutaneous applications has never been considered. Certain ingredients of this invention have never been proposed for oral or mucocutaneous applications (extracts of chrysantelum americanum, leptospermum morrisonii, Schussler salts, megamine). The other ingredients of this invention are already known to those skilled in the art and sometimes even the general public for these applications. All the ingredients of the invention alone have beneficial effects for the oropharyngeal and cutaneo-mucous tissues. But the combination of at least 3 of these natural ingredients, in order to obtain synergistic and more extensive effects, has never been described, whatever the medium (toothpaste, cream, gel, solution, lozenge, stick, etc ...) or the type of oral or mucocutaneous application.
Finally, it should be noted that the bioactive solution for ultrasonic instrumentation (in particular dental scalers) is totally unknown to those skilled in the art. In dental surgery, ultrasound scalers are coupled with running water for irrigation and drainage of debris. The running water is sometimes replaced by an antiseptic solution based on chlorhexidine. This type of solution has the disadvantage of damaging the pipes of the ultrasonic material. The invention is a bioactive irrigation solution based on original natural extracts, not brutal for periodontal tissues and material ducts. It comes in vials already prepared, or in the form of a concentrate to be diluted in the bottle of irrigation water.
The original compounds selected have only beneficial effects, and their combination offers a very broad synergy of effects. The effects of each preparation depend on the natural extracts that constitute it and their dosage. Each formula is selected according to the application and the desired result. The main effects encountered, alone or in combination, are: antioxidant activity (against the oxidative stress of cells), antiseptic properties (against bacteria, fungi, and even certain viruses), anti-inflammatory, decongestant and astringent activity, natural analgesic properties, buffering capacity (to regulate the local pH), healing action. The embodiment of the invention brings together at least 3 main original bioactive natural compounds, possibly associated with accessory ingredients depending on the desired effect combination. The main original ingredients are chosen from the following compounds, without exceeding the maximum proportions indicated for each compound in relation to the composition of the finished product: extract of grapefruit seed (70%), aloe vera or barbadensis (12%), of apricot kernel (10%), rose hip (5%), manuka (20%), spilanthes (30%), green tea (30%), tea tree tea (20%) ), usnea barbata (10%), chrysantelum americanum (10%), leptospermum morrisonii (10%), echinacea (7%); sweet almond oil (10%), argan (10%), hemp (10%), avocado (15%); pycnogenol (5%), propolis (10%), chitosan (20%), lactoferrin (5%), Schussler salts (8%), megamine (5%). Each accessory ingredient can not exceed 1% of the final formula.
For each type of preparation (gel, toothpaste, mouthwash, ...), the invention is implemented in a conventional formulation of excipient and known to those skilled in the art, adapted by means of the application. As is apparent from the above, the invention is not limited to those of its embodiments and applications which have just been described more explicitly; it embraces, on the contrary, all the variants that may come to the mind of the technician in the field without departing from the scope or scope of the present invention. Some examples of implementation of the invention are given below: the proportions of the natural extracts and other ingredients mentioned in the examples below are given with respect to the composition of the finished product (mouthwash, gel, cream, pastille, concentrated solution for ultrasonic instruments, etc.). EXAMPLE 1: a toothpaste containing propolis (0.5%), pycnogenol (1%), chitosan (8%) and megamine (1%). The rest of the preparation is conventionally compounded with silica (23%), glycerol (10%), sorbitol (16%), water (34.5%) and flavorings (6%). . Propolis oil contains a large number of active ingredients, including many minerals and vitamins, which explains a fairly wide range of antiseptic, analgesic, anti-inflammatory and healing properties. Propolis is already well known in odonto-stomatology, especially for its effects on halitosis and canker sores. Pycnogenol is an extract of maritime pine and contains, above all, flavonoid compounds and phenolic acids, which have important antioxidant and anti-inflammatory activities. Chitosan is a fiber extracted from the shell of crustaceans, and consists of water-soluble polysaccharides. The bioadhesive properties of such a polymer give it protective effects on the tissues. In addition, it has a buffering capacity capable of locally normalizing the pH and the ability to inhibit bacterial adhesion to treated surfaces. Megamine is a dietary supplement whose active substance is a micronized and activated zeolite, whose effects of regulator of the immune system and powerful antioxidant have been highlighted. EXAMPLE 2: Concentrated solution for ultrasonic scaler based on spilanthes extract (20%), grapefruit seed extract (66%), megamine (2%), lemon-grapefruit flavor (12%) . This formula is a concentrate, to be used in the form of a few drops, diluted in the bottle of scaler irrigation water. The extract of spilanthes has antiseptic activity (due among others to bactericidal and fungicidal phytosterols) and analgesic. Grapefruit seed extract is rich in vitamins, it concentrates a large amount of polyphenols with strong antioxidant activities and natural antibiotics. By alkalinizing the fluids, this extract plays a buffer role on the pH. It also has anti-inflammatory effects. EXAMPLE 3: a toothpaste containing propolis (1%), aloe vera (2%), calcium gluconate (less than 0.5%), zinc gluconate (less than 0.5%) and megamine (0.5%). The rest of the preparation is conventionally compounded with silica (22%), glycerol (10%), sorbitol (20%), water (38%) and flavorings (6%). Aloe vera is recommended in herbal medicine in application on ulcers and canker sores. This extract is known for its antiseptic, analgesic and anti-inflammatory effects. Calcium gluconate allows a local supply of potentially remineralising calcium ions on dental surfaces. Zinc gluconate offers a significant contribution of zinc ion, essential for the proper functioning of cellular metabolism and the immune system. It is thus recognized antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. EXAMPLE 4: lozenges consisting of non-cariogenic cooked sugar (88%), green tea extract (5%), grapefruit seed (5%) and propolis (2%). Green tea extracts provide a large amount of polyphenols, particularly epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG), with potent antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects. These pellets may be combined with the toothpaste of Example 3 to effect a cure of the oropharyngeal sphere, in particular to rebalance the gingivo-mucous terrain. EXAMPLE 5: skin cream for application on irritations and hemorrhoids made from extracts of green tea (5%), Schussler salts (2%), aloe vera (4%), argan oil (3%) and hemp oil (3%). The rest of the cream serves as a carrier and is conventionally composed of stearic acid, cetyl palmitate, paraffin, propylene glycol, sodium alginate, potassium sorbate and purified water. Schussler salts are a set of 12 inorganic salts demonstrated by Dr. Schussler (1821-1898) in blood and human cells, and whose presence is necessary for proper cell function. Argan and hemp oils are natural oils well known in dermatology for their nourishing and soothing properties. The compositions presented as examples are illustrative only, and do not limit the more general scope of the invention.
