The invention relates to a ramjet engine for military forces on land, sea and air. The endowment of these military forces is traditionally made with different types of rockets propelled on the flight path provided only by the force of the rocket engine. The ramjet rocket according to the invention overcomes this disadvantage. It really has a first characteristic, is composed of a cylindrical body, empennages and tanks with fuel and oxidant, as well as a combustion chamber of the fuel mixture from which emerge the hot gases coming out 10 of the nozzle in the form of a reaction jet. This jet of reaction continuously enters an elongate diverging nozzle of a ramjet equipped with an intake device where the atmospheric air is dynamically compressed and penetrates through the orifices of the nozzle into the gas stream, greatly increasing its volume, and the mixture of gas and air passes through the ramjet nozzle with a very high velocity, generating a larger reaction flow. According to the particular embodiments: the rocket engine may have the nozzle whose longitudinal axis may coincide with the axis of a nozzle of the ramjet, the ramjet may consist of an elongated divergent nozzle and a Air intake device; the device can be mounted on the reaction nozzle for the dynamic compression of the atmospheric air; housings may be made in the structure of the intake device for fixing certain rigid profiled elements and some empennages secured to the body of the rocket; the reaction nozzle may be provided all around orifices through which the compressed air in the intake device continuously enters the gas flow. The accompanying drawings illustrate the invention: FIG. 1 is the side view of the rocket; 30 - fig. 2 shows the side view along a longitudinal section through the plane A-A; Fig. 3 represents the top view of the ramjet according to a transverse longitudinal section through the plane B-B. Referring to these drawings, the ramjet rocket according to the invention consists of a cylindrical body (1) long, made in aerodynamic form. In the body (1) of the rocket are mounted separately, one after the other, a liquid fuel tank (2) and another liquid oxidant tank (3), provided with conduits connected to an aggregate of turbopumps (4). At the anterior part of the cylindrical body (1) are arranged the transport load (5) and the control equipment (6) and control of the rocket.
The main part of the body (1) is occupied by a rocket motor (C), composed of a chamber (7) for mixing and combustion which is continued by a convergent-divergent nozzle (8) whose longitudinal axis coincides with the axis of a nozzle (9) of the ramjet (D). Using turbopumps (4) at high flow rate, the fuel and the oxidant arrive through conduits in injectors (10) mounted in the combustion chamber (7). The substances are well pulverized and well mixed in the combustion chamber (7) where ignition of the fuel mixture results, resulting in a large amount of fumes characterized by high temperature and high pressure. In the output section of the nozzle (8) of the rocket motor (C) the fumes are accelerated with very high speeds, generating the pulling force. Simple construction at low weight and with enormous force, the ramjet (D) consists of an elongated diverging nozzle (9) having an opening at both ends and an air intake device (11) of shape truncated. The intake device (11) is rigorously mounted on the structure of the reaction nozzle (9) provided around the inlet orifices (12) for compressed air. Housings (13) are provided on the surface of the intake device (11) for fixing certain profiled rigid elements (14) and some empennages (15) secured to the body (1) of the rocket. The gas flow (16) formed at the outlet of the nozzle (8), corresponds as a section, to the orifice (17) of the nozzle (9) ramjet (D) through which the penetration stems continuously and violently . The evolution of the ramjet (D) in the open space as well as the thermal uniformization of the gas flows (16, 18) enable the heating of the walls of the reaction nozzle (9) to be prevented. The section of the intake device (11) remains unchanged and the "entry cone" is the body (1) of the rocket which reduces the running resistance of the ramjet (D). The magnitude of the flight speed of the rocket leads to the sudden increase in the pressure of the atmospheric air in the intake device. (11). From this device (11) the compressed air passes in a straight line through the orifices (12) of the nozzle (9) and spreads all around, continuously and uniformly, in the gas flow (16).
When mixed with the hot gases, the volume of the air increases enormously, and the mixture of gas and air passes through the nozzle (9) of the ramjet (D) with a very high speed, creating a larger reaction flow. . The traction obtained according to the invention is the sum of the tractions resulting from the composition of the two jet engines (C and D). By way of nonlimiting example, the ramjet can be adapted to different types of flight rockets in the atmosphere. The ramjet rocket, according to the invention, is particularly intended for military land, sea and air forces.
