Abstract

The device has a support (1) containing a set of electrical connectors (4) protected by a protection shutter (8). An upper surface of the support comprises two orifices (10), where opening of the orifices is carried out at distance from the connectors in a surface under magnetization effect. The opening of the orifices is carried out by translation of the protection shutter proportionately and simultaneously, where the magnetization effect is exerted by a compatible lighting equipment (2) assuring maintaining of the connectors.

2918216 The present invention relates to a connector device
  electrical safety device with means of protection and magnetic hold for lighting. Maintaining lighting equipment is traditionally carried out using a socket on which is fixed a bulb, which involves a risk of accidental contact with the power connectors of said socket. The combination socket + bulb causes a significant thickness sometimes prohibiting its use in small footprint. Disassembly of a bulb requires a period of time virtually nonexistent thanks to the magnetic retention system of the light source. Some types of bulbs installed in the ceiling require additional support bracket as in the case of halogen bulbs type Gu l 0 or Mr16 installed in built-in brackets.
  The device according to the invention overcomes these drawbacks both in terms of electrical safety at the level of the space induced by the system socket + bulb or at the level of installation and replacement greatly facilitated and its holding by magnetization. It comprises in fact according to a first feature, a support containing two electrical connectors, connected to the sector or to a power source, mounted on a movable plate, transversely, maintained by biasing means in the bottom of the support. The movable plate being operable only by magnetization. It comprises according to a second feature, a movable flaps system in translation, to protect accidental access to electrical connectors maintained by return means. According to particular embodiments: - The holding system of the movable stage containing the connectors and the system actuating the opening of the protective flaps can be independent or coupled together. - The housing can be recessed or protruding or be included in all types of integrated media. - The return means can take several appearances depending on the type of elastic return means employed. - The movable platen may contain a magnet or a ferromagnetic portion to help the magnetization force to release the devices of the elastic return means. - The connectors can be of various shapes and sizes.
  The accompanying drawings illustrate the invention: FIG. 1 is a sectional view of a variant of a support that includes the devices of the invention in protected mode, called the standby position. FIG. 2 represents in section a variant of support including the devices of the invention during the magnetization action exerted during the fixation of a lighting equipment provided for this purpose. With reference to these drawings, the device comprises a support (1) whose upper face has two orifices (10) protected by a protective flap (8). In the embodiment of FIGS. 1 and 2, the protective flap (8) is actuated in translation by a device consisting of a leaf spring (7) fixed on a part of one of the electrical connectors (4) allowing protection or access to connectors (4). The connectors (4) are fixed on a sliding mobile plate (9) transversely within the support, so that they are inside the support (1) at rest and they are flush with the upper face during the magnetization action induced by the fixation of the lighting equipment (2). The movable sliding plate (9) is held in the support by return means illustrated by springs (3) fixed on the bottom of the support (1) and contains at its center in the embodiment of Figures 1 and 2 a magnet (5) of small size to increase the magnetization force and rapid and natural centering when approaching the lighting equipment (2). The lighting equipment (2), in the embodiment of FIGS. 1 and 2, necessarily includes a magnetization force at its center in the form of a permanent magnet (6) sufficiently powerful to attract to it the movable stage sliding (9) by counteracting the effect of the elastic return means in the form of springs (3) which then relax under the effect of magnetization. When approaching the two parts (1) and (2), the magnet (6) includes in the (?) 2918216 lighting equipment attracts to it the movable sliding plate (9) simultaneously allowing the opening of protective shutters (8) and the approximation of the connectors (4) for connection with the connectors (4) of the lighting equipment (2). As soon as the two parts (1) and (2) are moved away, and no longer subjected to the stress exerted by the magnet (6) of the lighting equipment (2), the elastic return means in the form of springs (3) resume their traction effect on the sliding mobile stage (9) by replacing it in the initial position, said standby position, within the support (1). The replacement effect of the sliding mobile stage (9) simultaneously causes the repositioning of the protective flaps (8) in the initial position said safety position preventing any possible contact with the connectors.
  According to a variant not shown, the leaf spring (7) can be replaced by a rack system and be directly connected to the sliding mobile stage (9).
  The device according to the invention is particularly intended to increase the security of electrical connections in the field of lighting.

Device for a fast and secure electrical connection of lighting equipment (2) characterized in that it comprises a support (1), containing electrical connectors (4) protected by protective shutters (8). whose opening of the openings by translation of the protective shutters is proportionally and simultaneously to the recovery of the surface connectors under the magnetization effect exerted by a compatible lighting equipment also ensuring its maintenance.
  2. Device according to claim 1 characterized in that the electrical connectors are held on a movable sliding plate itself held by elastic return means represented by springs.
  3. Device according to claim 1 or claim 2 characterized in that the protective flaps are kept closed by an elastic return system connected to that of the maintenance of the sliding mobile stage.
  4.) Device according to any one of the preceding claims characterized in that the action of the recovery of the plate containing the electrical connectors is proportional and simultaneous to the opening of the protective shutters.
  5.) Device according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the device can be used for audio broadcasting. or video or for the electrical connection of small electrical appliances.
