Abstract

The method involves detecting uninterrupted movement of liquid e.g. drinking water, during a set point time. The movement of the liquid in a pipe (7) is stopped by an automatic control using a solenoid valve (3), and a signaling circuit is activated when the set point time is exceeded. An electronic circuit is activated by a sensor (2), where the electronic circuit delivers a control signal at the end of set point time to activate the valve.

Description

PR0(7eDE ET DISPOSITIF POUR DÉTECTER LES FUITES D'EAU te inventionPR0 (7TH AND DEVICE FOR DETECTING WATER LEAKS the invention

OF THE INVENTION The invention relates also to a method and a device for detecting, stopping, and / or signaling the presence of unusually high consumption in a defined time in drinking water pipes. The invention also relates to a device for carrying out the process. in the following steps Detect the flow of water in the pipe Measure the time during which the water circulates Stop and / or signal the flow of water if the set time has been exceeded Figure 1 shows the device of the IO A sensor 2 which provides a control contact during the circulation of water in the pipe 7 ion electronic circuit with a control portion 4 for the electro valve 3 and a portion 5 for the control of signaling 8 The eleetro valve 3 allows the cessation of the flow of water in the pipe 7 15 A source of electrical energy 6 (battery or accumulator) The operation consists in detecting uninterrupted consumption during a set time determined by the timer responsible for controlling the water inlet valve valve The sensor for detecting the flow of water acts whatever the flow rate, this making it possible to detect low consumption but permanent L This invention pursues a dual objective 1 Ecological, avoiding wastage and unnecessary loss of drinking water 26 Economic, reducing the expenses induced by significant consumption

The scarcity of drinking water and its price leads to finding solutions to avoid waste and unnecessary expenses Many users are not aware of their water consumption and are sometimes surprised by the high amount of their bills it is perfect enough to monitor its consumption by going to the meter regularly .. This is what should be done to avoid bad surprises Often the meter is difficult to access (eg in a pit or away from home) To remedy in this state of things this invention, very simple to put into operation, is to have the device control the consumption of water and to stop it or report if this consumption exceeds a certain duration (for example 2 hours) device detects uninterrupted consumption for a long time.

This small device must be connected to the pipe directly after the meter It can be connected to an alarm if it is in the home, it will automatically stop the water inlet in case of leakage or forgetful of closing faucet It therefore controls any abnormally long consumption even of any small flow It does not require the supply of electric current because it is entirely autonomous.
