Abstract

The necktie (1) has an upper side which is visible, and a lower side. A belt has a small tail (4) and a large tail (5) connected to one another at the level of a knot point (6) or a collar. The tail (5) has an interlining which corresponds to the design of the tie and a cover. The tail (5) has an envelope with an upper layer and a lower layer which are superposed and stitched, where the layers are distinct and are made of fabric. The lower layer constitutes the back of the tie and has width which is more than the width of the upper layer.

Description

The present invention relates to a double-thickness tie.

Traditionally, ties are made with only one main layer of fabric, which may be silk, wool, skin, or any other material that is flexible enough to fold and sew.

In addition to this main layer of fabric, a tie traditionally includes a triplet that allows to give it volume and some hold. The tie also includes a cap, which is a piece of fabric sewn on the lapel of the tie, at the tip of the large pan, which is intended on the one hand to weigh down the tip of the large pan and also to hide the reverse side fabric forming the front of the tie. It appears, however, that in spite of the presence of the interlining and the bonnet, some neckties - especially those made with fine and light textiles such as silk - lack uniformity or flatness and tend to twist, which is obviously unsightly to wear. The present invention therefore aims to remedy the aforementioned defects and therefore relates to a tie with an upper face called "place" which is visible to the wearer and a lower face called "back", said tie comprising at least a small pan and a large pan, connected to each other at a knot point or a collar More particularly, the invention is characterized in that at least the large pan comprises, in addition to the interlining and the cup, at least two separate layers of fabric and / or skin, superimposed and stitched to each other, a first upper layer, and a second lower layer constituting the back of the tie, whose width is greater than the width of the first layer. The Applicant has found that, surprisingly, a tie thus comprising two superimposed layers does not pivot at the door, thanks to its increased rigidity in torsion about its longitudinal axis. In addition, the flatness and the volume of the envelope of the tie are reinforced. The superposition of two layers of fabric and / or skin at the longitudinal edges of the large pan, separate layers which are sewn to one another, prevent a large pan rotation about its longitudinal axis. Advantageously, the second layer comprises two flaps arranged symmetrically on either side of the longitudinal axis of the tie, the first and second layers being fixed to one another by means of stitches arranged along their length. external longitudinal edges. The outer longitudinal edges of the first and second layers are preferably folded towards the inside of the tie, the seams between said layers being made between the folds thus formed. Preferably, the first, upper, and / or the second, lower, layer of the large pan comprises a textile material. Advantageously, the interlining comprises two parts arranged symmetrically with respect to the longitudinal axis of the tie and each sewn to one of the longitudinal edges of the first layer of the large pan. In any case, the invention will be better understood with the aid of the detailed description which follows, and with reference to the appended schematic drawing showing by way of nonlimiting example one embodiment of a double-thickness tie according to the invention. invention.

Figure 1 is a top view of the unfolded tie; Figures 2 and 3 are views in section, according to 11/11 and III / III of Figure 1. The invention, as shown in the drawing, in particular in Figure 1, relates to a tie 1 comprising several thicknesses. This tie 1 comprises an upper face 2 called "place" which is visible when worn and a lower face 3 called "back". It also includes a small pan 4 and a large pan 5, connected to each other at a node point 6. Alternatively, the two sides could be connected at a collar, it is that is to say a third intermediate section between the small and large parts.

According to the invention, the large pan 5 comprises, in addition to a interlayer 7 - which corresponds to the skeleton of the tie - and a cap 8, or lining, which is located at the free end of the large pan. The large pan 5 also comprises an envelope consisting of at least two distinct layers of fabric, superimposed and sewn together, a first layer 9 - upper - and a second layer 10 - forming the back of the the tie and having a width which is greater than the width of the first layer 9. Due to this upper width of the lower layer 10 of the envelope, relative to the upper layer 9, two overhangs 11 are created along the longitudinal edges of the tie 1.

The outer longitudinal edges 12 of the first and second layers are folded towards the inside of the tie by an angle of 180, as shown in section in FIGS. 2 and 3, the seams 13 between said layers being made between the folds 14 thus formed. The stitches are represented in the drawing by simple vertical lines crossing perpendicularly the different layers of fabric thus connected to each other. The second layer comprises two flaps arranged symmetrically on either side of the longitudinal axis - not shown in the drawing - of the tie.

The two upper and lower layers 2 and 3 of the large pan are made of a flexible and light textile material, for example silk. Finally, as shown in FIGS. 2 and 3, the interlining 7 consists of two parts 7a and 7b arranged symmetrically with respect to the longitudinal axis of the tie and each sewn at its external longitudinal edge 15, at the one of the longitudinal edges 12 of the first layer 2 of the large pan 5. The manufacture of the tie according to the invention is carried out as described below. First, we cut according to the patronage, all the pieces that constitute the tie (envelope, lining and interleaving in particular). Then a double-sided self-adhesive transfer tape is applied to the longitudinal edges of the back of the top layer. Then the external longitudinal edges 15 of the two portions 7a and 7b of the interlining are applied to the transfer 16, and a holding stitch is produced. The latter forms the stitches between the first and second layers of the envelope of the large pan, when the latter are flat. Next, the cap (or lining) 8 is sewn at the tip of the large pan (and, where appropriate, at the tip of the small pan), as for a conventional tie. The small pan 4 is then assembled with the large pan 5 prepared. The first 2 and second 3 layers of the large-pan envelope are then folded 180 towards the inside of the tie, at their outer longitudinal edge 12, and then the longitudinal folds are marked with the iron to be ironed.

Finally, we close the back of the tie by large dots slipped, as usual. It goes without saying that the invention is not limited to the embodiment described above as an example but that it encompasses all the variants.
