Abstract

A cost effective door handle fitting has a tubular metal section (2) with an insert (4) pressed into one end and with the door handle grip pressed into the other end. The insert has a square bore, to fit onto the lock bar and is secured by a grub screw in a transverse bore. The tubular section is secured by cold pressing into the rim of the grub screw hole. No separate fasteners or adhesives are required and the tubular section can be made of stainless steel.
