Abstract

The device has a case comprising an articulated door (2) to which an open mouth (3) is provided, and a flap (4) controlled by a mechanism (5), where opening angle of the flap is limited to 45[deg] by an angle iron (10). The flap is actuated by a cable (6) that slides along a pulley (7) and is connected to a counterweight (8) guided by slides (9). A stop (12) provided in base of the slides permits to dampen the counterweight.

Description

The present invention relates to a device for the recovery of

  wastes of health care activities accessible to the public.

  Usually a large part of this waste mixes with household detritus. Syringes or sharp objects can also be found on public roads, with the risk of causing injury.

  The device according to the invention overcomes this disadvantage. It has a device that is a specific recovery point and has an analogy with a mailbox, which makes it immediately familiar and understandable in its mode of use.

  As for a mailbox the filling port is closed by a hatch with the difference that the latter is reversed (opening from top to bottom). The waste once introduced falls into a container. The hatch closes automatically. Its inverted opening, limited to 45 degrees prevents any intrusion of a hand or an arm to the recovery container located below.

  In order for the opening of the hatch to be limited, a fixed and rigid reinforcement angle is placed under it.

  This inverted system also prohibits any overflow of the content to the outside. The automatic closing of the hatch is obtained by a counterweight system.

  The device is of specific size and can only receive containers or containers of small size.

  Because of its size (height: 1m50) the device can only be used by an adult audience and avoids any risk of use by children.

  The container used to receive the waste, is located in the device, it is approved to receive the waste at risk of infection. Its capacity is 50 liters. Its dimension is in adequacy with what it can receive. It is inaccessible from the outside. The accompanying drawings illustrate the invention. Referring to these drawings, the device comprises a box (1), one of whose faces is an articulated door (2). ), which is provided with an opening mouth (3), comprising a hatch (4) controlled by a mechanism (5).

  It is an inverted trap system (4) with an opening from top to bottom which is actuated by a cable (6) sliding along a pulley (7). This cable is connected to a counterweight (8) guided by slides (9). Counterweight allows (8) closing the hatch. An abutment (12) provided with a pad at the bottom of the slides makes it possible to damp the counterweight. To open the hatch must therefore exert a force greater than that applied by the counterweight, so that the opening of the hatch is limited a rigid and rigid reinforcing angle (10) is placed under the latter.

  The height and the thickness of the box (1) make it possible to insert inside a waste collection container for infectious waste (11) with a capacity of 50 liters.

  For example, the dimensions of the body can be 780mm in height, 335mm in width and 470mm in depth. The door will be 790mm in height, 350mm in width and 33mm in thickness. The mouth will be 132mm high, 167mm wide and 103mm deep. For technical reasons the opening of the mouth is reduced to 107mm by an angle. This dimension allows the passage of small container or box with a capacity of 1 liter maximum.
