Abstract

The procedure consists of converting a recipe with ingredients in weights to volumes, adjusting it automatically for computer software including theoretical and actual densities and concentrations, and delivering all the ingredients to a mixer through flow channels at an optimal rate and in precise volumes. This is followed by dynamic mixing of ingredients and automatic cleaning of the equipment with a pressurised rinsing liquid between one recipe and another. The procedure uses a micro-computer for calculating the ingredients and storing the recipes, servo-motors and precision volumetric pumps ensuring constant volumes and a repeatable operation.
