L'homme de métier sait parfaitement qu'en cas d'altération de la fixation d'une tige fémorale ou en cas de fracture du fémur sur prothèse, il est nécessaire de remplacer la tige d'origine par un modèle de longueur plus importante afin d'avoir un appui distal suffisant en zone saine.
