Abstract

The fishing line has a luminous lure (11) on its hook (12) created by the end of an optical fibre (5) which has its input end connected by a cone (4) with a hole in its tip to a light source (1) or laser pointer with a switch (7) on the handle (2) of the rod. The light source can be attached to the rod handle by fixings (3) or, in variants, can be incorporated inside the base of the rod or a reel. The optical fibre's outlet end (11) can be made spherical in shape and can be attached to part of a float (8) to illuminate it.

Description

The present invention relates to a device for fishing at the

line with a luminous bait.

  Traditionally, fishermen use a natural bait (worms, maggots, noodles ...). The disadvantages that result are that the bait is to be replaced relatively often and is not very visible by the fish in troubled waters.

  The device according to the invention overcomes these disadvantages.

  According to a first feature, the device comprises a light beam or a laser pointer attached to the base of the fishing rod and powered by batteries or rechargeable batteries. The beam illuminates the base of an optical fiber, which replaces the nylon wire traditionally used for fishing. At the end of the optical fiber appears a bright spot which may be of greater diameter than the optical fiber so as to form a small ball. At this end is attached a hook. When the beam illuminates the base of the optical fiber, the light is transmitted to the end of it and the result is a bright bait very attractive to the fish.

  According to particular embodiments: The light beam and the optical fiber may be of different colors.

  - The light beam can be replaced by a laser pointer.

  The light beam can be attached to the base of the fishing rod or incorporated in it.

  - The light beam can be incorporated in a reel - The light beam may include a start button and / or a flashing device for a stroboscopic effect.

  The end of the optical fiber comprises a ball made by melting the optical fiber or made of any other material of various size and shape diffusing the light.

  - The light beam has a cone pierced in the middle to introduce the base of the optical fiber so as to center the luminous flux - The optical fiber can illuminate the artificial bait in the vicinity of the hook but also the visible part a float for good vision in the 30 dark and shady places.

  - The end of the optical fiber can also illuminate an artificial fly for surface fishing.

  Fig. 3 shows in section the device mounted on a float so as to illuminate its visible part.

  With reference to these drawings, the device comprises a light beam (1) or a laser pointer whose activation is carried out by means of a button (7) fixed on the base of the fishing rod (2) using fasteners (3).

  The light beam (1) having a cone (4) pierced at its center (rubber or other material) into which is introduced the base of the optical fiber (5), which is fixed along the fishing rod to the using collars (6). The optical fiber (5) is attached to a float (8) by fasteners (9) for adjusting the fishing depth. Leads (10) are attached to the optical fiber (5) to ballast the float (8).

  The end (11) of the optical fiber (5) may comprise a ball or a shape of various size which becomes bright by light scattering of the beam (1) through the optical fiber (5).

  The shape of the end (11) of the optical fiber (5) can be made in different ways and in materials of different sizes, shapes, colors and compositions (plastic, silicone ...) so as to diffuse the light of the optical fiber (5).

  The end (11) is attached to a hook (12) by the nylon thread (13) on the optical fiber (5). It can also be fixed differently.

  The end (11) of the optical fiber (5) can also illuminate the portion (14) of a float (8).

  According to a variant not shown, the end (11) of the optical fiber (5) can be attached to an artificial fly for surface fishing.

  By way of non-limiting example, the optical fiber will have a diameter of about 0.75 mm and a variable length.

  The device according to the invention is particularly intended for angling to replace the traditional bait but also to illuminate the visible part of a float, even small, in dark or shady places.
