Description

La présente invention est relative aux moyens utilisables pour améliorerThe present invention relates to the means usable to improve

le confort des personnes souffrant d' incontinence urinaire  the comfort of people suffering from urinary incontinence

We know the waterproof pockets plastic film or rubber or waterproof canvas etc ... that is fixed by any appropriate means (gluing braces etc ...) to collect the urine that the patient can not contain, such as described in patent GB218471 June 10, 1923. To remedy leaks the bag is often filled with a porous material may retain the urine or a product causing its gelation. The patient's clothing is thus protected, but it It is not immune to moisture, which is unpleasant and unhealthy.

The present invention makes it possible to remedy these drawbacks to a large extent because the urine is immediately conducted away from the skin and, if the patient wishes, he can evacuate it at any time in any discretion.

Figure 1 shows a possible embodiment of the invention: The apparatus comprises a pocket 1 provided with a base 2 which has a lip 3 directed towards the inside of the pocket to possibly collect residual urine. The bag 1 comprises a pipe 4 of sufficient diameter (of the order of 30 to 60 mm) for collecting and evacuating the urine as soon as it arrives. This discharge pipe 4 made of a flexible material allowing the pipe to bend (such as for example rubber of a suitable quality), is housed in one of the legs of the pants or in a long skirt, without ever exceeding the pants or skirt.11 is closed at its lower end by any suitable means for example by a clamp 5 or a tight zipper or a small tap.The base 2 is maintained applied to 1 abdomen of the patient by straps 6 preferably elastic and adjustable, or by any other appropriate means (glue, adhesive tape etc ...) to ensure a good seal. For the introduction is easy, the shoulder straps can include function organs (by example of hooks 7). The patient can thus, at will, immediately evacuate the urine if the circumstances allow it, or store it without risk while waiting to be able to do it.

FIG. 2 is another possible embodiment of the invention: The pipe 4 comprises a device 8 for preventing the backflow of urine if the patient is lying down. This device 8 may be constituted by a portion 9, more rigid but nevertheless elastic, preformed pipe, which makes a loop around the leg. If the patient is lying down, the urine can not flow back to the base 2, because to do this it would have to climb an ascending slope in the device 8.

Figure 3 shows a pocket 1 suitably attached to the abdomen, which is further held by a panty 10, which provides a double security. The panty has an opening 11 to let the hose 4 pass.

The tightness at this crossing of the wall and at the thighs is provided by resilient barriers 12 as those used for the layers. This pant can advantageously contain a gel 13 or any other absorbent product which will immobilize the urine in case of leakage at the base 2.

Figure 4 shows a pocket 1 and its pipe 4 provided at its lower end with a remote closure. One embodiment of this remote closure comprises a shutter 14 which is controlled by a cable 15 (like a bicycle brake cable) which runs along the pipe 4 and ends at the level of the belt of the patient to a control member provided with a return spring 16.

Such a device is particularly useful when the patient can hardly bend down to maneuver the lower closure of the pipe 4.

Figure 5 shows a similar device, the cable 15 being replaced by a small pipe 17 having at each of its ends a bellows 18 of rubber or flexible plastic material. The lower bellows comprises a return spring 19. In this way, a hydraulic or pneumatic remote control can be realized.

In the same way, it is possible to imagine an electric control comprising a supply battery, a solenoid valve, a control push button and a connecting wire.
