Abstract
The starter has an electric motor coupled to an accelerator comprising a coupling piece (101) to couple a pinion (50) and a shank (51). The coupling piece, and/or shank-pinion unit comprises baffles (117, 123) or joints inhibiting migration of pollutants e.g. grease, particles and impurities, originating from an output shaft or outside the shank-pinion unit, towards friction surfaces (102, 107) of a friction clutch.
