Abstract

The panel has a support (10) for an indicator dial (6) to display permanent indications, and an indicator to display temporary indications. The temporary indications are superimposed on permanent indications. The indicator has an ink layer (9) with quasi-transparent fluorescent pigments to display the temporary indications. The ink layer is fixed on a transparent support (4) placed in parallel to the support (10). The transparent support (4) has UV lamps (8) for displaying separately and independently the temporary indications.

  The invention relates to indicators, including indicators for dashboards of automobiles or other vehicles, for example aircraft.

  The automobile dashboards include, on a display panel, indicating dials and / or signaling in increasing numbers, which poses the problem of the space available for them to implement.

  Some indications do not necessarily have to be permanently displayed, indications here called temporary, such as for example an alarm, the plaintiff had the idea, to save space, to display them superimposed on those to display permanently, here called permanent, the latter being of lesser importance.

  Thus, the invention relates to an indicator panel arranged to display on a support permanent indications, characterized in that it comprises means arranged for superimposing, on at least some of the permanent indications, temporary indications leaving visible the permanent indications and means to reveal the temporary indications.

  Thus, on the indicator board of the invention, we gain the place of some of the temporary indications.

  Preferably, the superposing means comprise quasi-transparent fluorescent pigment ink and the revealing means comprise means for emitting ultraviolet rays.

  In one case, the indication medium is a common medium for permanent and temporary indications.

  But it can be provided a separate transparent support for the temporary indications, allowing the visualization of permanent indications in normal or regular situation and, after revelation of the temporary indications, an effect of attractive style, because space, because of two separate media.

  Advantageously, the fluorescent ink is pigmented with colored pigments in accordance with the color code in accordance with the display standards in force in the application under consideration.

  FIGS. 1 and 2 represent an indicator panel 1, to fix ideas an automobile dashboard, which comprises a housing 2 with a support 10 indications or permanent signs 6, backlit by a lighting 5, for example a dial indicator measurements, lap counter or speedometer, the latter being more often present.

  The support 10 is protected by a transparent lexan 3 front panel closing the housing 2.

  In a first case (FIG. 1), between the lexan 3 and the support 10, there is arranged a transparent support 4 separated from the support 10, for the temporary indications, on which temporary indications have been reported which, for a user of the board indicator, are superimposed on the dial 6, the latter remaining visible in normal situation.

  On the transparent support 4, the indications can be made in several ways.

  For example, the transparent support 4 may include an LCD 9 embodying the temporary indications. The LCD is transparent when not electrically controlled and, if not, displays the indications.

  It is also possible to deposit on the transparent support 4 a layer of ink 9 with quasi-transparent fluorescent pigments according to a significant drawing of the temporary indication (s) to be displayed, for example characters to form pre-established messages, warning or alert.

  The ink may be pigmented to a color appropriate to the message. It is well known to those skilled in the art.

  The indication or signaling is revealed by its direct lighting thanks to an ultra-violet emission provided by a UV lamp 8 mounted in the housing 2. The eye of the user of the scoreboard is then protected by a shutter 7.

  If, on the transparent support 4, several signals are provided, several UV lamps 8 are arranged in the housing 2 and controlled to illuminate them separately and independently of each other.

  It is thus possible to superpose the display of indications on indicator boards, even equipped with needles. In normal situation, the developer is not active, and the permanent indications are visible. Conversely, after revelation of the temporary indications, the entire display board and the transparent support create an attractive style effect, because spatial, because of the two separate supports, or separate. One can even combine the images of the temporary indications with those of the permanent indications so that, when the first ones are revealed, the two visualize a unique spatial image.

  In the embodiment illustrated in FIG. 1, the transparent support 4 extends substantially parallel to the indication support 10. It may be advantageous to incline the transparent support 4 on the plane of the indication support 10, although it is not a true plane, towards the front face 3 from top to bottom, and preferably about 45. When the permanent indication support (10) and the temporary indication support (4) are thus relatively inclined to one another, the lighting by the lamp or lamps 8 of the transparent support 4 is easier to achieve.

  In a second case, with reference to FIG. 2, the support 10 comprises indications or permanent indications 11, other than dials 16 provided with needles. Their external visible surface is smooth enough to allow ink printing.

  2865308 4 In this case, it is not necessary to provide a superimposed support 4 as in the first case.

  The transparent ink layer 9 was deposited directly on the support 10 according to drawings 12, 13, 14 (a battery, a fuel pump and an oil burette) or 15 (alphanumeric characters) representative of the temporary indications to display, in at least partial superposition of the permanent indications 11, 16. Each ink pattern may have a relationship to the permanent signaling on which it is deposited in superposition, and even here superimposed.

  Here too, the developer is a UV lamp as previously. When, in normal situation, the developer is not active, the permanent indications are visible.

  It is possible to pigment the ink with color pigments appropriate to the regulations in force in the application under consideration.

Claims (8)

  1.- Indicator panel (1) arranged to display on a support (10) permanent indications (6, 11, 16), characterized in that it comprises means (4, 9, 12, 13, 14, 15 ) arranged to superimpose, on at least some of the permanent indications, temporary indications (9, 12, 13, 14, 15) showing the permanent indications and means (8) for revealing the temporary indications. io   2. Table according to claim 1, wherein the superposition means (4, 9, 12, 13, 14, 15) comprise ink (9) with quasi-transparent fluorescent pigments and the revealing means comprise means (8) ultraviolet ray emission.   3. The table of claim 2, wherein the fluorescent ink (9) is pigmented with colored pigments.   4. Table according to one of claims 1 to 3, wherein the support indications (10) is a common support for permanent indications and temporary indications.   5. Table according to one of claims 1 to 3, wherein there is provided a separate transparent support (4) for the temporary indications, permitting the vision of the permanent indications in normal situation.   6. Table according to claim 1, wherein the superposition means (4) comprise an LCD screen (9).   7. A table according to one of claims 5 and 6, wherein the temporary and permanent indications are combined so that, when the first are revealed, both allow to visualize a single spatial image.   8. Table according to one of claims 5 to 7, wherein there is provided a permanent indications carrier (10) and a transparent support of temporary indications (4) inclined relative to one another.
