Abstract

The system consists of hollow ridge bar (I)(1) that replaces traditional ridge tiles on building roof. (I) is perforated with holes along sides and is connected to water supply(10) via suction apparatus (8) that delivers water under pressure. (I) is coloured and has surface that fits in with existing structure. (I) is connected by distributors (2) to bars covering sloping ridges or edges of roof. The system consists of a hollow ridge bar (1) that replaces the traditional ridge tiles on a building roof. The bar is perforated with holes along both sides and is connected to a water supply (10) such as a swimming pool, well or mains, via a suction apparatus (8) that delivers the water under pressure to the bar. The ridge bar can be coloured and have a smooth or textured surface to fit in with the existing structure, and can be connected by distributors (2) to bars covering sloping ridges or the edges of the roof. The system can be designed to be operated automatically by a fire detector.
