Abstract

The procedure for altering the appearance of a crop growing in a field to create a message or design uses chemical or mechanical means to create different colours. Parts of a crop can be sprayed with a herbicide that retards development or destroys areas that can then be re-sown. Alternatively areas can be isolated by covering them or rolled flat to change their colouring.
