Abstract

A galvanometer is placed on the surface with its electrical terminals connected by an isolated wire on one side to an electrode moving in the drilled shaft and on the other to a terminal fixed to the earth. The moving electrode is displaced using a winch coil for the insulated wire in order to show the exact position of the aquiferous layers using the galvanometer if they are present. The moving electrode is lowered down the shaft and then raised slowly while the variations of the galvanometer are recorded. Variations between porous and permeable layers and layers which are not is clear on the resulting diagram as they have a higher potential.

Description

SYSTEME PERMETTANT LA LOCALISATION PRECISE DES FORMATIONS PERMEABLES ETSYSTEM FOR THE PRECISE LOCATION OF PERMEABLE FORMATIONS AND

POREUSESPOROUS

To date, the determination of the shallow aquifer layers are generally determined by a "dowser" and moreover this only gives approximately the "roof" of the aquifer formation.

The system described above is a scientific method for determining and precisely locating porous and permeable layers produced in a borehole using a conductive mud with a density greater than 1 - an electrode is lowered into the borehole by means of an insulated conductor wire, this is connected on the surface to a galvanometer, the second terminal of which is connected to earth, the electrode is wound up slowly and the variations in the galvanometer recorded - the variations in the galvanometer between the layers porous and permeable and the layers which are not are apparent on the diagram obtained above.

Porous and permeable layers offer greater potential than other formations.

REVENDICATIONCLAIM 1. 1. The device for locating aquifers, characterized in that it comprises a galvanometer located on the surface, the two electrical terminals of which are connected by an insulated wire on the one hand to an electrode moving in the borehole and on the other hand a terminal connected to earth. 2. 2. Arrangement according to claim 1, characterized in that the electrode is moved by means of a winding winch for the insulated wire in order to indicate by means of the galvanometer, the exact position of the aquifer layers if they are present.
