Abstract

The handle is provided with an opening (2) at the end (11) to accommodate a fixing unit (6) arranged on a lower part of an end of the extension. The opening presents a stopper (3) in transversal cut to create a space in the lower part of the opening.

  The present invention relates to a handle-extension device for easily lifting, carrying and handling culinary articles such as pots, pans, frying pans, etc. which very often prove to be too heavy to handle when they are filled.

  Traditionally, cookware, especially large items, are already heavy 5 even when empty and handling is all the more difficult when they are filled. The too short handle does not offer sufficient grip to increase the effort exerted by the user and all the effort rests solely on the wrist. This is particularly disabling for people, among others, suffering from joint or muscular problems or simply for the person who has to serve food to a large family every day. The device 10 according to the invention overcomes this drawback by providing support under the forearm for the greatest comfort of the user and inexpensive.

  Sleeve-extension device for easy handling of culinary articles consisting of a handle detachably or fixedly connected, at its end to a culinary article, and of an extension characterized in that the handle is provided, at its end, with an orifice o receives, integrally, a fastening element disposed on the lower part of one end of the extension.

  This device makes it possible to transmit the force exerted from the wrist to the forearm and no longer exclusively on the user's wrist. The result thus obtained can be compared to the "fishing rod" effect. The handle according to the invention comprises a body linked at one end to the culinary article and the other end of which is provided with a housing making it possible to engage and lock a second part called an extension.

  The extension according to a first characteristic of the invention is removable and therefore allows use adapted to the different needs of the user. Its removable nature makes it possible to remove the handle during prolonged cooking in order to prevent any risk of accident due to the sticking out of the handle of the hob. When the cookware is placed on a table, the extension can be removed to reduce clutter, as well for storage and washing in the sink or dishwasher.

  The extension is formed at one end of a part which is positioned and blocked in the housing of the handle, thus ensuring the connection of the extension handle.

  The second end of the extension, according to a second characteristic of the invention, is of curved shape thus making it possible to adapt to the user's forearm.

  Other characteristics and advantages of the invention will emerge from the description which follows with reference to the appended drawings which are given only by way of example and not limiting.

  With reference to these drawings, a particular embodiment of the present invention consists of a handle (1), detachably or fixedly connected at its end (9), to a culinary article (10), and of an extension ( 4) characterized in that the handle (1) is provided at its end (11) with an orifice (2) where it is housed in an integral manner, a fixing element (6) disposed on the lower part 10 of a end of the extension (4).

  The handle (1) is provided at its end (11) with an orifice (2) having in cross section a stop (3) thus creating a space in the lower part of the orifice (2) wider than the upper part . The extension (4) has a fixing element (6) placed on the lower part of the extension (4). The oblong fixing element (6) has a projection (8) which bears against the stop (3) of the orifice (2) of the handle (1).

  The extension (4) put in place (see Figure 2) is held in the position of use thanks to the stops (3) and (7) and the projection (8).

  The forearm rest (5) is locked in the use position at an angle (a) defined by the axis (x) and the height (h). (h) is the height defined between (x) and the fulcrum of the forearm on the forearm rest (5). The handle-extension device therefore defines, in the position of use, an angle (a) of between 10 and 30 ° C. and preferably 20 ° C. Preferably, the fixing element (6) is disposed at the end of the extension (4).

  The extension (4) also has a forearm rest part (5) having two prominent side parts (A and B) curved so as to adapt to the user's forearm and act as a support.

  The forearm rest part (5) constitutes one end of the extension (4) opposite the junction point of the handle (1) and the extension (4).

  The length (L) of the device is between 20 and 45 centimeters and preferably 40 centimeters. The height (h) is between 5 and 15 centimeters.
