Abstract

The tool's magnetic handle is made by mixing magnetic powder or small magnetic particles with a plastic material and injecting it into a handle and magnetising the handle by connecting it to electrical poles before finally finishing the handle.

Description

PROCEDE DE FABRICATION D'UNE POIGNEE MAGNETIQUE POUR OUTILS A MAIN La présente invention concerne un procédé de fabrication d'une poignée magnétique pour outil à main.  The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing a magnetic handle for a hand tool.

A conventional hand tool generally includes a handle and a shank which is connected to the handle. There is no specific place to place the hand tool that could move away from users so that users cannot find the tool immediately. FIG. 1 illustrates a handle 10 of a hand tool comprising two magnets 11 10 connected to said handle so that the handle 10 can be attracted to a metal surface by the magnets 11. The magnets 11 are easily neutralized when the magnets 11 are hit by a hard object. Furthermore, the handle 10 can only be attracted to a metal surface by the portion on which the magnets 11 are located so that the users 15 check the position of the magnets 11 before the tool is attracted to the metal surface. . The object of the present invention is to provide a method which mixes magnetic powders into a material of the handle and which ejects the mixture using a machine so that it becomes a handle. The handle is then electrically magnetized so that the handle is magnetic.

More specifically, the subject of the invention is a method of manufacturing magnetic handles comprising the following steps: step 1: mixing magnetic powders in a plastic material; - step 2: injecting the mixture of magnetic powders and plastic material into a handle using plastic injection; - step 3: the magnetization of the handle by connecting it to electrical poles, and step 4: the final finish of the handle.

Other characteristics, details and advantages of the invention will emerge on reading the description given with reference to the accompanying drawings given by way of example which represent respectively: - Figure 1, a perspective view illustrating two conventional magnetic handles hand tools; - Figure 2, a view illustrating the steps of the method of the present invention; and - Figure 3, a view illustrating that the handles made by the method of the present invention are attracted to a metal surface.

Referring to Figures 2 and 3, the method of manufacturing magnetic handles comprises step 1 of mixing magnetic powders or small magnetic parts in a plastic material, step 2 of injecting the mixture of magnetic powders and material 10 plastic in a handle 20 using a plastic injection, step 3 of magnetization of the handle 20 by connecting it to electrical poles, and step 4 of final finishing of the handle 20.

The overall handle 20 is magnetic so that users do not need to check the orientation of the handle 20 before positioning it on a metal surface.

The invention is in no way limited to the exemplary embodiment given solely by way of illustration of the subject of the invention.
