Abstract

Description

The present invention relates to a method of manufacturing articles

  clothing comprising a plurality of parts assembled together.

  We have known for a long time, in the field of the manufacture of articles

  clothing, the technique known as "dyeing diving".

  According to this technique, articles made up are immersed in baths

  dyes to obtain the desired colors.

  For the coloring of the articles to be carried out optimally, it is necessary to bring the dye baths to relatively high temperatures,

typically around 980C.

  Due to these high temperatures, items immersed in the baths

  tincture shrink quite considerably.

  When these articles are formed from a single piece of textile material, as is the case for example for “bodysuits” or socks, this shrinking takes place in a substantially homogeneous manner in all points

items.

  We then obtain, in fine, an article which can be deduced by homothety of

the article before immersion.

  Thus, to ultimately obtain an article of a certain size, it is simply necessary to start from an article having a larger size, the ratio between these two sizes varying of course, in particular according to the nature of the textile material.

  In the case where the article comprises a plurality of parts assembled between

  them, the classical technique of dyeing in diving cannot be used.

  Indeed, we have seen that by applying such a technique to such articles, we obtained articles certainly correctly colored, but completely deformed compared to the original pattern, so that these articles were in

practical unusable.

  The object of the present invention is to provide a method making it possible to apply the dyeing technique in diving to articles of clothing comprising a plurality of parts assembled together without being left with the

disadvantages mentioned above.

  This object of the invention is achieved with a method of manufacturing an item of clothing comprising a plurality of parts assembled together, of the type comprising: - a) a step of assembling said parts, followed - b) a step of immersing said article in a hot dye bath, remarkable in that it comprises, prior to said step a), a step in which each of said parts is subjected to a heat treatment individually. Thanks to these characteristics, each of the parts undergoes a significant shrinkage before being assembled, and can therefore no longer shrink so

  significant when the article is immersed in the dye bath.

  As a result, during this immersion, the article undergoes practically no deformation, and in particular practically no differential deformation,

  which allows it to keep all its proportions.

  According to other characteristics of this process - said heat treatment comprises the passage of each of said parts in dry heat at high temperature, - said heat treatment comprises the passage of each of said parts to steam, - said heat treatment comprises washing of each said pieces with boiling water, - said method further comprises, after said step b), a step of smoothing said article, - said smoothing is obtained by placing said article on a form subjected to

  dry heat or steam.

  The present invention also relates to an ecru article of clothing intended to be immersed in a bath of hot dye, remarkable in that it is formed from an assembly of parts which have each undergone a heat treatment.

  According to other characteristics: - this ecru bra includes in particular a central basque, two cups, two back basques and two shoulder pads each having undergone said heat treatment prior to its assembly, - this ecru bra includes underwired cups in a material whose melting temperature is higher than that of said dye bath,

- Said material is polyamide.

  Other characteristics and advantages of the present invention will become apparent from

  reading the description which will follow and examining the attached drawing, in

  which: - Figure 1 shows a bra according to the invention, and

  - Figure 2 shows the steps of the method according to the invention.

  The bra 1 of FIG. 1 is off-white, that is to say of the natural color of the textile fibers, so that the dye can be taken from a dye bath.

  This bra is the result of the assembly of a certain number of parts, including the following pieces of textile material: - central basque 3, cups 5a, 5b, - underarm braiding 7a, 7b, - back basques 9a, 9b, - planks 11a, 11b, - stapling on door side 13a and hook side 13b, - shoulder pads 15a, 15b,

- armature protectors 17a and 17b.

  These parts are assembled together preferably by sewing.

  Typically according to the invention, each of these parts has individually undergone, prior to its assembly, a heat treatment having

  had the effect of making it shrink significantly.

  This heat treatment can consist in passing each of these parts in dry heat at high temperature, or in steam, or else in washing.

  These examples of heat treatments are in no way limiting, and any other type of heat treatment within the reach of those skilled in the art could be suitable. The armature protectors 17a, 17b of the cups 5a, 5b are reinforced by armatures formed from a material whose melting point is higher than the usual temperatures of dye baths, that is to say greater than about C.

  A material which can satisfy this requirement is polyamide.

  When immersing the ecru bra 1 in a bath of hot dye

  (typically at 980C), it takes the color of this dye.

  Due to the heat treatment which they have each undergone before being assembled, the pieces of textile material can no longer shrink significantly under the effect of the temperature of the dye bath. It follows that during the immersion of the ecru bra 1 in the dye bath, this bra undergoes practically no deformation, and in particular practically no differential deformation, which allows it to retain all

its proportions.

  We can therefore prepare a stock of ecru bras, and apply the dyeing technique to them according to the various requests in each

  colors, which offers great flexibility in manufacturing.

  Before the present invention, on the contrary, it was necessary to order from suppliers parts which had each undergone individual coloring before being assembled, which considerably hampered the reactivity of the production with regard to fluctuations in demand, and posed many quality problems linked in particular to discrepancies in colors observed between parts from various suppliers. Optionally, once the bra has been immersed in the dye bath, it can be placed on a form (for example a plastic bust)

  subjected to dry heat or steam.

  In summary therefore, and as illustrated in FIG. 2, the present invention comprises the steps consisting in: - 0) applying a heat treatment to each of the pieces of textile material intended to form the bra 1, - a) assembling these pieces to form the bra 1, - b) immerse the bra 1 in a bath of hot dye, and - c) optionally, to place this tinted bra on a form subjected to dry heat or to steam in order to

smooth.

  Of course, the present invention is not limited to the embodiment

  described and shown, provided by way of illustrative and nonlimiting example.

  Thus, for example, this invention could be applied to other lingerie articles ("thong" for example) and, more generally, to any article

  clothing comprising a plurality of parts assembled together.

Method for manufacturing an article of clothing (1) comprising a plurality of parts assembled together (3, 5a, 5b, 7a, 7b, 9a, 9b, 1la, 11b, l5a, l5b, 13a, 13b, 17a, 17b), of the type comprising: - a) a step of assembling said parts, followed - b) a step of immersing said article (1) in a hot dye bath, characterized in that it comprises , prior to said step a), a step 0) in which each of said parts (3,   5a, 5b, 7a, 7b, 9a, 9b, 1a, 11b, l5a, l5b, 13a, 13b, 17a, 17b) individually.   2. Process according to claim 1, characterized in that said heat treatment comprises the passage of each of said parts (3, 5a, 5b, 7a, 7b, 9a,   9b, 1la, 1lb, 15a, 15b, 13a, 13b, 17a, 17b) in dry heat at high temperature.   3. Method according to claim 1, characterized in that said heat treatment comprises the passage of each of said parts (3, 5a, 5b, 7a, 7b, 9a,   9b, la, 11b, 15a, 15b, 13a, 13b, 17a, 17b) steam.   4. Method according to claim 1, characterized in that said heat treatment comprises washing each of said parts (3, 5a, 5b, 7a, 7b, 9a, 9b,   1la, 11b, 15a, 15b, 13a, 13b, 17a, 17b) with boiling water.   5. Method according to any one of the preceding claims,   characterized in that it further comprises, after said step b), a   smoothing step of said article (1).   6. Method according to claim 5, characterized in that said smoothing is obtained by placing said article (1) on a form subjected to dry heat or to water vapor.   7. Unbleached article of clothing (1) intended to be immersed in a hot dye bath, characterized in that it is formed from an assembly of parts (3, 5a, b, 7a, 7b, 9a, 9b, 11a, 11b, 15a, 15b, 13a, 13b, i7a, 17b) each having undergone a   heat treatment prior to their assembly.   8. Ecru bra (1), characterized in that it is of the type conforming to the claim 7.   9. ecru bra (1) according to claim 8, characterized in that it comprises in particular a central basque (3), two cups (5a, 5b), two back basques (9a, 9b) and two epaulettes (15a , 15b) having each undergone said treatment   thermal prior to assembly.   10.
