Abstract

Semi-rigid plastic case for containment of a CD or DVD disk comprises fixed (A) and moving (B) elements. The fixed element (A) serves to support a disk on its thermally formed center (6). The two elements slide relative to each other and can contain an information booklet. The fixed element has indented attachment hole (15) with which the case can attached to an adapted cylindrical support.

  - 1 The present invention relates to a device for containing an audio or video disc

  engraved or not by all existing or future techniques.

  When the disc is not in use, it is traditionally stored in a molded plastic case with a hinged cover. The covered part includes retaining lugs molded in the mass which make it possible to store a removable booklet of communication concerning the engraved information. The storage part of the disc is

  consisting of an external box in which the disc support element fits.

  At the time of this assembly it is possible to interpose between the case and the element

  support, an irremovable communication document printed on one side.

  The fragility, size and weight of this type of case are all handicaps,

  especially when sending mail.

  Other types of packaging are known to date. In principle, they are made either of flexible plastic or of paper or of cardboard. Envelope type, these pockets are only

  principle not intended to contain a communication document.

  In case of improper grip of the envelope, the anti-drop safety of the disc is not guaranteed.

  The device according to the invention overcomes these drawbacks.

  Indeed, it is composed according to a first characteristic of an envelope in two elements sliding one inside the other, each including a space capable of containing at

  minus a removable communication document, including one located on the edge.

  This set is preferably made, but without limitation, in a semi plastic

  rigid cut, thermoformed and folded.

  A first element, said to be fixed, of the device according to the invention, serves to receive the disc.

  It is made up of three sections, the extremities of which fall back on either side of the central part. The latter comprises at a calculated location, a thermoformed centralizer used to maintain the disc in its location as well as an advertising medium in

  paper on which the marking on the edge can be printed.

  With reference to the centering device, the folded left flap on the centering side has an opening allowing the passage of the disc while the folded droR flap on the opposite side to the centering device creates a space capable of receiving a removable communication document. Once folded and thanks to the elastic property of semi-rigid plastic, this first fixed element preferably has in its upper left corner, a notch making it possible to clip the device according to the invention onto a suitable cylindrical support, thanks to a passage d 'a width less than the diameter of the hole, cut along an axis connecting the above-mentioned upper left angle, to the axis of the hole.   The movable element B consists of two separate parts (9) and (10).

  The part (10) is intended to form after folding against the part (9) a storage space for a removable communication booklet. It will be maintained by folding the flaps

(11) against part (9).

  Once assembled, as shown in Figure 3 plate 2, it will be possible to insert into the device according to the invention, a first removable booklet of communication in space (17), the disc in space (18) and a second removable communication booklet in

Space (19).

  The device according to the invention can, without obligation, be stored clipped onto a suitable cylindrical support (22) as shown in Figure 4 plate 2, thanks to a cutout consisting of a hole (20) and a passage (15 ) whose width is less than the diameter of the hole (20) made along an axis (21) connecting the axis of the hole (20) at the angle closest to

the fixed part A once folded.

  By way of nonlimiting example, the device according to the invention will have dimensions of the order

  14 cm for its length, 12.5 cm for its width and 0.5 cm for its thickness.

  The device according to the invention is particularly intended to contain an audio or video disc, burned or not by any existing or future technique, accompanied or not by its

communication booklets.

  1) Device preferably made of semi-rigid plastic intended to contain an audio or video disc, engraved or not by any existing or future technique, characterized in that it comprises a fixed element A and a mobile element B.
