Abstract

The panel consists of two sections that can slide relative to one another, made from plywood or other non-splitting material. The panel sections (1) have slots containing bolts and wing nuts (2, 3, 4) that allow it to be adjusted to the width of the doorway to be protected. They also have chamfered outer edges (5) with seals (6)of foam or mastic. The panel is fitted across the doorway on the outside of the door, so it does not prevent the door from shutting, and has spacers (7) to hold it at a distance from the door frame
