Abstract

The cable includes a protective sleeve (6), and a further external layer (7). This outer layer has higher elasticity than that of the protective sleeve, and may have projecting ribs (8). This outer sleeve offers a greater resistance to abrasion than the simple inner sleeve. <??>The cable comprises at least one main conductor (1) extending within a protective sleeve (6). An external layer (7) covers the protective sleeve and is formed from a material offering a higher elasticity than that of the protective sleeve. The material of the protective sleeve (6) also has an adherence which is less than the tear resistance of the external layer (7). This external layer may be made from an elastomer material, and may have an external contour which includes projecting ribs (8). The external cross-section may thus be a crenellated surface. The ribs may extend along the length of the cable in a helical pattern.
