Abstract

The invention concerns an electric heating device, in particular for heating a motor vehicle, comprising heating bars (10) with resistive elements (102) arranged in parallel between two electrical conductors extending along the bar, an electronic circuit (20) with power components (208) for switching the electric supply of the bars, and means (202) for dissipating the heat produced by the components exposed to an air flow passing through the heating device, the electronic circuit (20) together with the power components (208) being supported by a heat dissipating plate (202) mounted directly on the heating bars (10), at one end thereof, each heating bar (10) including a tube (100) containing resistive elements, the heat dissipating plate being mounted at one end of the tubes of the heating bars, device wherein the tube forms one of the electrical conductors in contact with the resistive elements of the bar.
