 The present invention relates to a device for protecting and harvesting small fish.

 Harvesting of viviparous fish fry is traditionally carried out using a nesting box which requires the capture of the female at the appropriate time.

 Whatever their use, internal or external, in relation to the water reserve, no nesting box currently on sale on the market can do without capturing the female in the water reserve before laying or capturing fry in the water supply after laying.

 The device according to the invention overcomes these drawbacks simultaneously. According to a first characteristic, it in fact comprises a box having two zones pierced with orifices of different sizes depending on the zone which they occupy. These holes allow for the largest of them, the passage of small fish inside the housing at the same time as it prohibits entry to larger fish, and allow for the smallest of them to filter the water by retaining the small fish caught when leaving the housing of the water supply; thus when the user places the box in a reserve of water, and this, whatever the level at which he places it, small fish of all species can find refuge there and the user can harvest them by filtration.

 According to particular embodiments -The housing can include in the area of the small orifices an undrilled area whose function is to retain small fish in the housing by means of a food depot.
