Abstract

The filler (10) consists of a vertical guide tube (12) through which the product falls, topped by a mouthpiece or funnel (14) and surrounded at least partially by a coaxial outer tube (18) for delivering an inert gas through an inlet (20). The guide tube has perforations (46) at its lower end. The tubes and funnel are made from a material that does not interact with the gas, e.g. stainless steel.
