Abstract

The carrier, designed to be fitted to a tractor's three point hitching system for loading/unloading a log bundler such as a Forestballer (RTM) consists of two symmetrical L-shaped structures with their facing surfaces connected by tubular spacers. Each structure consists of a welded upright and horizontal member, with the latter made from I-section steel bar of constant width but with a height reducing to a few centimeters at its free end, where it has a V-shaped recess in its upper surface. The corners of the L-shaped structures are reinforced by bracing struts.

  Upcoming industrial realization: A prototype of this "Carrier" has been produced and works very well. Allowing tool buyers to

  shrinkage to increase the use of their devices it should meet with good success.
