Abstract

The shoe cover, made from a supple and strong material, either natural or synthetic, is shaped to cover the sole of a shoe and part of the upper, and has an elastic material (N) round its upper edge to grip the shoe. The back of the cover has a rigid heel member (Q) with a traction element (S) attached to it directly or by a cord (R). When the tip of the shoe is pushed into the cover the heel member is pulled backwards by the traction member to increase the size of the opening.
