Abstract

The anti-theft device, with the aid of a GSM-type portable telephone, enables triggering of a control signal which commands a unit in the vehicle to progressively stop the functioning of the vehicle e.g. by gradually reducing the electric feed cycles of the vehicle electrics e.g. feed to the ignition coil etc, if the vehicle has been stolen, while at the same time activating the alarms and horn to attract attention of the law enforcement authorities.
