Abstract

The system has, integrated in the vehicle, an interrogation unit (2) from a distance from a transponder (3) adapted to be carried by the vehicle user, for controlling the activation or deactivation of the functional organ (1). The transponder is integrated into the key contact module of the vehicle (4), and the interrogation unit is disposed close to the anti-theft unit and the starter units.

Description

The present invention relates to an activation / deactivation system of at least one functional comfort member on board a vehicle by tomobile.

For many years, motor vehicles have been provided with comfort functions, such as for example the lighting of overhead lights arranged in the passenger compartment thereof when the vehicle's ignition is switched off.

However, this operation, although meeting a need of users wanting to get out of the vehicle, has some limits because if a user turns off the ignition, this does not necessarily mean that he will leave the vehicle immediately.

Other functional comfort devices such as the radio, etc., are also controlled in this way.

The object of the invention is therefore to solve these problems.

To this end, the subject of the invention is a system for activating / deactivating at least one functional comfort member on board a motor vehicle, characterized in that it comprises, integrated in the vehicle, remote interrogation means of transponder means adapted to be carried by a user of the vehicle, to determine whether the latter is entering or leaving the vehicle, in order to control consequently the activation or deactivation of the functional member.

The invention will be better understood on reading the description which follows, given solely by way of example and made with reference to the appended drawing which represents a block diagram illustrating the structure and operation of a system according to the invention.

This figure shows an activation / deactivation system of at least one functional comfort member on board a motor vehicle.

In the example illustrated, the functional comfort member comprises overhead lights distributed in the passenger compartment of the vehicle and which are designated by the general reference 1.

The system according to the invention comprises, integrated into the vehicle, means 2 for remote interrogation of transponder means designated by the general reference 3, adapted to be worn by a user of the vehicle, to determine whether the latter enters or leaves the vehicle, in order to control consequently the activation or deactivation of the functional member, that is to say for example overhead lights.

In the embodiment shown, the transponder means 3 are integrated in a key module of the vehicle designated by the general reference 4, the interrogation means 2 being arranged for example near the anti-theft mechanism and starting it.

These interrogation and transponder means then have a dual function which is, on the one hand, to control the operation of vehicle immobilizer means, designated by the general reference 5 in this figure, in a conventional manner, and d on the other hand, to ensure, by means of corresponding piloting means, designated by the general reference 6, the activation and deactivation of the functional member such as the overhead lights.

A dialogue between the interrogation means 2 and the transponder means 3 is established to test the presence or absence of the ignition key in position.

Different types of dialogues can be envisaged, these corresponding for example to an identification or an authentication by transmission of coded information for example between these two elements.

It is therefore understandable that, thanks to such a structure and as soon as the ignition of the vehicle is cut off, the interrogation means 2 establish - log in with the transponder means 3 of the key 4 and this, periodically.

As long as the transponder means respond to these interrogations, it is considered that the ignition key is always in position.

As soon as the transponder means no longer respond to the interrogations of the interrogation means, it is considered that the key has been removed from the position and that the user of it, will therefore leave the vehicle, to trigger the ignition of the ceiling lights.

The overhead lights are therefore only switched on when the driver is about to leave the vehicle.

It goes without saying of course that the control of other functional comfort members of the vehicle can thus be optimized. This is for example the case of the vehicle engine immobilizer function which can be activated when "is put in position to accelerate the unlocking of the engine.

Of course, other embodiments can be envisaged.

System according to claim 1, characterized in that the transponder means (3) are integrated in a vehicle ignition key module (4), the interrogation means (2) being arranged near the anti-theft mechanism and starting it. 3. System according to claim 1 or 2, characterized in that the functional member (1) is formed by at least one ceiling light arranged in the passenger compartment of the vehicle. 4. System according to any one of claims 1 and 2, character ized in that the functional member is an immobilizer mechanism of the vehicle engine.
