Abstract

The card can receive information written by the user using a CD writer. The multi-media data support comprises a compact disc which is cut into a rectangular shape in order to correspond with that of a business or visiting card. The overall dimensions of the card may be 80 x 57 mm. The disc has a region for recording digital data, and this region may be re-writable. The recording region is a magneto-optic layer which lies on a support layer, and over which there is a protective coating layer. The substrate may include provision for evacuation of heat produced during the recording process. A central sector of the support provides information indicating the overall data capacity of the support.
