Abstract

A sliding panel (16) such as a door, window or similar, moving relative to a fixed frame with a guide track (9), has at least one cavity (19) in its lower edge (20) to receive a friction slide block (22). The slide block is made from a material with a low friction coefficient, and especially a synthetic material and it projects beyond the edge of the panel to interact with the guide track via a contact surface (23) of reduced area. The panel can incorporate a mechanism for regulating and fixing the slide block in a predetermined position in the cavity, and a means of assembling and dismantling it.
