Abstract

Description

This invention relates to an electronic pen calculator, in particular a pen calculator having a keyboard, in which the keys can be positioned and pressed correctly by means of a pen cap which can be moved for calculation purposes.

An electronic calculator is usually made in the form of a rectangular plate, which is light in weight and small in size, especially for personal use, however, it is not as convenient as a pen. this relates to portability, and this is particularly true in the case where a calculation and a writing are both necessary.

In view of the imperfections described above, after years of constant research efforts, the inventor of this invention takes the opportunity to propose an improved mechanism relating to the subject of the invention in the hope of achieving something useful for human society.

This invention proposes to provide an electronic pen calculator with two rectangular windows in which a keyboard and a liquid crystal display (LCD) device of a printed circuit board can reside, in which a pen cap is disposed at the level of the upper end of the pen body, with a clip having a point projecting at the inner face of its tail end is connected to the pen cap laterally so that, by sliding the pen cap, the protruding point of the clip can be used to press the desired keys for data entry, a response after calculation will be displayed on the liquid crystal display (LCD) module, a sleeve opposing the slide ment is provided at the lower end of the pen body to prevent it from slipping when writing, and a two-function implementation consisted nt to write and calculate is possible.

Another object of this invention is to provide a calculator for a pen, in which a T-shaped groove is formed opposite the windows, a stop rib formed on the internal face at the level of the lower edge opposite. of the staple of the pen cap will be embedded in the T-shaped groove for a positioning function so as to obtain a two-in-one use as a pen and as a calculator.

In accordance with a first aspect of the present invention, an electronic pen calculator having the above advantages comprises a pen body, in which two rectangular windows are formed to accommodate a printed circuit board, and in contrast to the windows, an inverted letter T-shaped throat with a wide body and a narrow head is provided, a sleeve preventing slipping and intended to prevent the hand from slipping when writing, a pen cap comprising a connected clip laterally, in which a protruding point is formed on the internal face at the level of the tail end of the staple, and an internal stop rib is provided at the lower edge on the opposite face of the pen cap, a printed circuit board placed in the pen body, a keyboard inscribed in one of the windows, and a liquid crystal display (LCD) module inscribed in s the other window.

According to a second aspect of the present invention, the above structure is achieved by placing the printed circuit board in said pen body, with said keyboard and said LCD device projecting at these two rectangular windows, by fitting said cap. pen on the upper end of said pen body, with the locking rib fitting into said inverted T-groove allowing said pen cap to slide to the right, left, up or down within the limits of a determined range or extent, whereby said projecting point can be positioned above a desired key one after the other and is pressed for data entry, said sleeve opposing the sliding being fitted on the lower end of said pen body in order to prevent the hand from slipping when writing, thereby providing a dual function of writing and c alcul.

Advantageously, said printed circuit board can be a calculation printed circuit board.

According to another advantageous aspect of the invention, said printed circuit board can be a circuit board intended for audio recording, an infrared remote control, or else a memory with push-buttons.

A pen body 1 constitutes a main part of the pen calculator, in which two aligned rectangular windows 11, 12 are formed in an upper face of the pen body 1 so that a keyboard 131 and an LCD display 132 reside there. a built-in printed circuit board 13. Opposite the windows, an inverted T-shaped groove 14 is provided, with a positioning slot 141 which extends horizontally at its lower end, a sleeve opposing the sliding 19 is fitted on the lower end of the pen body 1, and a central part of the pen body is inserted therein.

The upper end of the pen body 1 is connected by interlocking to a pen cap 16, comprising a clip 17 connected laterally to the pen cap 16. As shown in Figures 3A, 3B, after assembly, when the pen cap 16 is embedded in the T-shaped groove 14, the pen cap 16 can slide within the limits of a rectangular extent or range determined (corresponding to the extent of the keyboard 131) without escaping, which facilitates pressing "in position". The sleeve opposing the sliding 19 is fitted on the lower end of the pen body 1 in order to prevent the hand from sliding during writing.

FIG. 4 illustrates the operation of an embodiment, in which a user holds the sleeve opposing the sliding 19 with one hand, and the pen cap 16 with the other, and slides the cap to the right , left, up or down in order to position the projecting point 171 of the clip 17 on the desired keys of the keyboard 131, then presses them for data entry, and the result after calculation is presented on the screen of the LCD display module 132. Just as the name suggests, this invention provides a dual-function operation making it possible both to write and to calculate.

The advantages of this invention can be summarized as follows.

1. The combination of two articles in one presents a compact structure, the same portability as a usual pen in order to write or calculate as desired.

 2. Convenient data entry. The protruding dot is designed for data entry by sliding the pen cap to position the correct key, and the response is indicated on the LCD device window.

 3.An extension of the functions is possible. The functions of the printed circuit board can be extended, for example for an audio recording device, an infrared remote control, or a key memory, etc.

 In the above description, at least one preferred embodiment has been described with reference to the accompanying drawings, but it is obvious that many variants or modifications can be made without departing from the spirit and the scope of the invention, as set out in the claims which follow.

Structure of electronic calculator for pen, comprising. a pen body (1) in which two rectangular windows (11, 12) are formed in order to receive a printed circuit board (13), and, opposite said windows, a groove (14) in the shape of a letter T inverted having a wide body and a narrow head is provided, a pen cap (16), which is a hollow cylinder comprising a staple (17) connected thereto, and on which a projecting point (171 ) is formed on its internal face at the tail end of said clip, and an internal stop rib (18) being provided at the lower edge on the other side of said pen cap, a sleeve is opposing the sliding (19) intended to prevent the hand from sliding when writing, a printed circuit board (13) arranged behind said windows in said pen body, a keyboard (133) inscribed in one of the windows ( 11), and a liquid crystal display (LCD) module (132) fits nt in the other window (12), said structure being assembled by placing the printed circuit board (13) in said pen body, with said keyboard and said LCD module projecting at these two rectangular windows, by fitting said cap pen (16) on the upper end of the pen body, with the stop rib (18) fitting into the inverted T-shaped groove allowing said pen cap to slide to the right, left, up or down within a defined range, whereby said projecting point (171) can be positioned above a desired key one after the other, and be pressed for data entry, said sleeve (19) opposing the sliding being fitted on the lower end of said pen body in order to prevent the hand from sliding when writing, thus with a double function of writing and calculation. 2. An electronic calculator for pen structure according to claim 1, wherein said printed circuit board (13) can be a calculation printed circuit board.
