Abstract

The unit comprises of a shelf (9) upon which flasks (8) that contain a chemical substance are stored. An opening is provided such a flux of air (4) can be circulated upwards through the storage unit. A filtration unit (3) is provided in a space above the flasks. As the upward flux of air is passed through the unit, fumes emitted from the flasks is carried through the filtration unit and the clean air expelled.

  NEUTRALIZATION OF GAS LOSSES FROM

  BOTTLES CONTAINING CHEMICALS.

  It is well known to place bottles containing chemicals on shelves placed above a work surface, such as in laboratories. It is well known that this procedure, which is practiced for the current use of vials, has the disadvantage of filling the laboratory air with smelly and sometimes toxic gases, originating from leaks from the corks in the vials. However,

  the advantage lies in the immediate availability of the bottles.

  It is well known, to avoid this drawback, to store the 1o bottles in a common ventilated storage cabinet near the worktops. This procedure has the disadvantage of being impractical for current use because it is necessary to open the doors of this cabinet and to close the bottles immediately after use.   both have drawbacks.

  The present invention makes it possible to practically eliminate the drawbacks presented by the two known solutions, while
