Abstract

The garment is in the form of disposable or re-usable pyjama trousers made from an inner layer (3) of a permeable material such as flannel, sponge or jersey knit and an outer impermeable layer (2), or from a single permeable layer with an outer impermeable coating of a supple polymer film. The garment is elasticated at the waist and ankles, and has inner strips of absorbent material in those zones, covered by layers or flaps of a permeable material which can be fastened in place by strips of self adhesive fabric, press studs or buttons.

Description

The present invention relates to pajama pants for

enuretic children.

  There are currently no pajamas specially designed for enuretic children. A child is considered to be bedwetting if he continues to wet his bed

  beyond 3 years. This nocturnal enuresis can sometimes last until the age of 14.

  The use of disposable baby diapers keeps the baby dry and does not soil the bedding. But the wearing of these diapers intended for the baby until the age of 3/4 years maximum is completely unsuitable for enuretic children. It seems indeed inconceivable to continue putting on diapers to children 10 years old or more ... Even in younger children, wearing diapers that keep them dry does not promote toilet training. Indeed, if the child who has often become clean during the day, cannot feel that he is getting wet at night, will most often continue to pee in the bed. The use of diapers beyond 3/4 years keeps the child in a regressive state, often sought after by the child himself. This is the case, for example, of the clean child who, at the birth of a little brother or a little sister, starts to soil his bed again (secondary enuresis). Putting on diapers at this critical time will not help him overcome his natural jealousy and accept this new birth. We therefore see that if wearing diapers is

  essential until the age of 3 or 4 years, it becomes impossible beyond.

  The problem is therefore that of washing the pajamas and the bedding necessary for

each urine emission.

  The present invention is intended to eliminate this washing by proposing to the enuretic child the wearing of waterproof pajama pants. These pajama pants are characterized by their composition on the whole of their surface in a flexible and waterproof material externally and lined on its internal face with a slightly absorbent coating, for example flannel, sponge, jersey, cotton, provided with means of closures

  waterproof at the waist and ankles.

  It comes in 2 possible forms.

  - disposable (disposable): for these pants, the outer waterproof material is in the form of a thin film impervious to fluids in synthetic material, of the type used for the outer waterproof coating of diapers, for example polyethylene and to which is attached an inner lining of non-woven permeable to fluids, for example of the type used for making disposable female briefs. The flexible material can also be obtained by a non-woven material coated by gluing or any other means, with an external waterproofing coating, approaching by

  that of the material used for the manufacture of female panty liners.

  - reusable: in this case, the waterproof material is made of a rubber film on which the fabric lining is attached, or is obtained by a fabric coated with a waterproofing coating, for example PVC or polyurethane, of the type used for the

  realization of waterproof mattress covers.

  In both forms, the presence of one or a series of elastic bands at the level of

  the size and ankles prevent any leakage of urine.

  Note that the enuretic child generally wakes up when he begins to get wet and interrupts his urine emission to go to the toilet, thus limiting the amount of urine in the pants whose absorbency is very low given the simple jersey, terry, cotton or similar fabric covering on which the face is made

inside of the pajamas.

  However, in the case of larger flows, a modified version of the pants is provided, comprising an absorbent coating strip situated on the internal face of the pants and placed at the level of the waterproof closures adjacent or at

  the very location of said closings.

  Regarding disposable pants, the absorbent strip is glued.

  For reusable pants, the strip is removably received under a permeable extension intended to be folded down and closed on its opposite edge by any fixing means, for example hook-and-loop strap, zipper, pressures ... In this way , if the urine emission is greater, it will be contained in these absorbent bands which can easily be replaced - for reusable pants - thanks to the presence of the flaps. The desired effect will remain the same: the child

will be wet, but not the bedding.

  The pants according to the invention are of an identical cut to that of ordinary pajama pants and of a form of loose pants with the exception of the zones of

watertight closures.

  For the two possible forms, the pants' panels are linked together

  by sewing or sealing.

  These two types of pajama pants exist in different sizes, depending on age

  of the child (from 3 to 14 years old approximately).

  Figure 1 of the accompanying drawings illustrates pajama pants according to the invention and shows that it is not distinguished in its shape from ordinary pajama pants. This fact is important for the child who can continue to wear normal looking pajamas. The pants according to the invention can moreover be matched with a pajama jacket, either by the presence of a band of identical color, a pattern or any other decorative element giving the pants according to the invention and the jacket as well

  matching, a real "status" of pajamas.

  Nevertheless, the pants according to the invention are distinguished by the composition of the material used. In the disposable form as well as in the reusable form, the material is composed either of two separate layers (Figure 2A), an impermeable outer layer (2) and an inner fluid-permeable layer (3), or of a single layer double face (FIG. 2B), an internal textile face (3) coated with a waterproofing coating (2) by gluing or any other means. Figures 2A and 2B are

sections according to AA in FIG. 1.

  Figure 3 illustrates a possibility of location of the absorbent strips in the case for example where the tight closure is achieved by a single elastic (4) of small width. In this case the band is placed immediately under the elastic,

adjacent (5).

  Figures 4 and 5 are sections according to B-B of Figure 3 illustrating the variant comprising absorbent strips (5), adjacent to the watertight closures of the waist

and dowels (4).

  FIG. 4 illustrates the location of the absorbent strip (5) adjacent to the waterproof closure (4), and of the fixing system (8) by gluing or other means for the

disposable pants.

  FIG. 5 relates to the reusable pants and illustrates the location of the band (5) adjacent to the waterproof closure (4) which is inserted in a permeable flap (6) intended to enclose said absorbent band, by fixing means. (7)

  such as self-gripping tape, zipper, snaps ...

  The invention is intended for the use of young children learning the

  cleanliness and especially for older enuretic children.

  The cost should not exceed that of regular pajamas in terms of the reusable form, and little more than the price of a disposable diaper in terms of the disposable form. Furthermore, the use of pants according to the invention, in its two forms, is likely to generate significant savings on several levels: - electrical consumption (washing machine and possibly dryer) - detergent - wear fast laundry (pajamas, sheets, draw sheet ...) caused by frequent washing. - work and time spent changing the bedding, washing it, making the bed again, which is sometimes

  entrusted to a housekeeper for remuneration.

  The secondary benefits are not least: - the use of the invention avoids additional fatigue for the mother (generally) and additional work allowing her to be more available from

her child.

  - the user child becomes more autonomous and can take charge more

  easily his bedwetting by rinsing himself, for example, his reusable pants.

  - at a more practical level, the use of the invention in its 2 forms, finally allows the child to spend nights away from his home. Previously, attending a summer camp was difficult, a stay with grandparents delicate, a night with friends impossible. From now on, wearing the pajamas according to the invention allows the child to spend nights at the hotel or rental, with friends or family, alone or with his parents, in summer camps ... This, without even that the entourage or the little friends are not necessarily aware of the bedwetting of the child who can now face his problem more serenely. It will be enough that in the morning, he throws-if he has it

  wet - his disposable pajamas then take a shower normally.

  1) Pajama pants intended for enuretic children characterized by its composition over the whole of its surface in a flexible and waterproof material externally (2) and lined on its internal face with a slightly absorbent coating (3), for example flannel, sponge, jersey, cotton, provided with means of tight closures (4) at the waist and ankles. 2) Pajama pants according to claim 1 characterized in that the external waterproof material is formed in the form of a thin film impermeable to fluids of synthetic material (2), of the type used for the external waterproof coating of diapers, for example made of polyethylene and to which an inner lining (3) of fluid-permeable nonwoven is attached, for example of the type used for the   making disposable female briefs, so that they are for single use.   3) Pajama pants according to claim 1 characterized in that the absorbent internal coating consists of a non-woven material (3) coated with an external waterproofing coating (2) thus forming the flexible and waterproof material, approaching by that of the material used for the manufacture of female panty liners, so to be for single use.   4) pajama pants according to claim 1 characterized in that the waterproof material is made of a rubber film (2) on which is attached the lining   fabric (3), so as to be reusable.   5) Pajama pants according to claim I characterized in that the waterproof material is obtained by a fabric (3) coated with a waterproofing coating (2), for example PVC or polyurethane, of the type used for the production of mattress covers   waterproof, so it can be reused.   6) Pajama pants according to any one of claims 1 to 5   characterized by the presence of one or more elastic bands at the waist and   dowels (4) constituting the sealing means.   7) Pajama pants according to any one of claims I to 6   characterized by the presence of a strip of cotton or other absorbent material (5) located on the inside of the pants and placed at the level of the tight closures so   adjacent to or at the same location of said closures.   8) pajama pants according to claims 2,3 and 7, characterized in that the absorbent tape is glued (5).   9) Pajama pants according to claims 4,5 and 7, characterized in that the   strip (5) is removably received under a permeable extension (6) intended to   be folded down, and closed on its opposite edge by any fixing means (7), for example hook-and-loop strap, zipper, pressures ...   ) Pajama pants according to claim 1 characterized by its realization in the form of loose pants with the exception of the zones of waterproof closures (4).   11) Pajama pants according to claim I characterized in that it consists of panels interconnected by sewing or welding tightly.
