Abstract

The survival blanket consists of a lower portion (1) in contact with the ground and an upper portion (2) to cover the user. The lower portion is made from a polyester ( e.g. 100 microns thick ), a reinforcing mesh ( e.g. of polyethylene terephthalate (PET)) and a metallized polyester layer ( e.g. 12 microns thick ). The upper portion (2), attached to the lower one by seams, has a layer of micro fiber with a micro porous coating, and includes a strip of material (6), covering a certain width, which is the same as that of the lower portion.
