Abstract

The automatic video cassette distributor allows sorting selection and distribution of cassettes under computer control, and has an electromechanical system to transfer the cassettes inside the machine. The cassettes are stored in a cylinder (B2). The customer makes their choice at a keypad and display panel (A) on the front of the unit, and a cash or card handling mechanism gathers payment. The computer controls the movement of the handling mechanism, which has an articulated arm (B5) to carry the selected item to an outlet where it can be collected by the user.
